Clint Rhea is Chief Operating Officer at Need to Know News, LLC (NTKN), a subsidiary of Deutsche Börse AG. In this role, Mr. Rhea oversees the development of AlphaFlash, Deutsche Börse’s global machine readable news feed offering. He works closely with clients and product development teams to ensure its dominant competitive position in the field of machine readable macroeconomic and corporate news data.
Mr. Rhea joined Need to Know News in 2007 to help create Lightning Bolt, which was optimized and rebranded “AlphaFlash” when NTKN was acquired by Deutsche Börse subsidiary Market News International in November 2009.
Prior to NTKN, Mr. Rhea was at Great Point Capital, LLC (GPC), an equities trading firm, where he helped manage day-to-day operations. Mr. Rhea trained incoming traders on firm strategy, software and managed the risk department while actively supervising more than 300 traders. During his tenure at GPC, he helped open a successful trading operation in India, where he was responsible for training the traders and implementing management operations.

Ms Gupta is Senior Vice President and Head of Market Data & Access in Singapore Exchange (SGX). She is responsible for business development of market data, trading access and establishing co-location service and points of presence in key liquidity venues around the world like Tokyo, London, New York and Chicago. Ms Gupta joined SGX in 1996 through SIMEX (Singapore International Monetary Exchange) prior to its merger with the Stock Exchange of Singapore (SES) on 1 December 1999. Over these past 15 years, she has played a number of key roles in areas of solutions delivery and Programme Management. Under her programme management leadership, SGX successfully deployed major business solutions such as the Securities Trading Engine in 2008 and the Derivatives Clearing Engine in 2009. In this role he oversees a global team of over 4000 content experts delivering standard and customized suites of equity, debt and risk data and research from S&P Capital IQ to brokers, insurers, asset managers and academics around the world. These data sets include security and entity reference data; security terms and conditions and corporate actions; counterparty linkage and exposure data; corporate financial performance data; structured finance performance data; credit ratings, evaluated pricing for illiquid securities, and other proprietary analytics.

Prior to joining Standard & Poor’s, Jonathan was Senior Vice President for Reuters Global Data Operations. Jonathan was at Reuters for 9 years where he performed a series of roles including global head of equities data operations. In his nine years at Reuters Jonathan managed a number of large-scale transformation projects, both technical and operational. These included a technical integration from fragmented data architecture onto a single data platform with improved user tools and capabilities. Also the integration of several operational data groups in Asia, Europe and the Americas realized through acquisition into a unified data management structure as well as a large operational migration to India.

Jonathan is based in New York and holds a BA in Economics from Concordia University in Montreal.

Ms Soon joined Interactive Data in 2010. Prior to this Ms Soon worked at Thomson Reuters both in New York and Singapore where she spent over 12 years in various reference data related roles. Most recently Madalene was the Enterprise Product & Content Manager for Thomson Reuters’ Pricing and Reference Data business in Asia Pacific. In this role she was responsible for the conversion of key clients into strategic partners by building up long term relationships and identifying market and/or up-sell opportunities. Peter Tierney is a principal of Saquish Partners and an Advisor at AsisEx markets and specializes in market access and financial technology solutions in the Asia region.

Originally from Ireland Peter has worked in senior financial technology roles in the UK, US and Asia. Peter draws on deep subject matter expertise in both the pre- and post-trade environments, telcomms, trading architecture and data management and has a demonstrated specialty in developing platform services that bring together communities within the financial space. He joined Thomson Financial ESG (now Omgeo) in 1991 as part of the founding team and worked in London, Singapore and the company’s headquarters in Boston. Peter was part of the executive team that defined and executed the merger with the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) creating Omgeo. Peter then joined the financial extranet provider Radianz (now BT Radianz) where he led global strategic business development. Among other things, Peter and his team was instrumental in developing their low-latency proximity hosting offering in NY, London and Tokyo. Most recently Peter led the successful development of the NYSE Technologies business in Asia. Under his leadership, the business established a strong enterprise software and services revenue flow in the areas of order routing, market data and exchange technology. Peter was instrumental in the acquisition of Japan-based Metabit in 2011 and the definition of NYSE Technologies’ global Liquidity Hub strategy. Peter has established deep and successful relationships around the region with exchanges, brokers and buy-sides.

Peter guest lectures on financial technology as part of Singapore Management University’s (SMU) Masters in IT (Finance) program. He is married with 2 children and is an active member of the Irish community in Singapore.
