Overview

Each year FISD hosts a European meeting outside of London on the Continent.
- In 2012 we will be in Paris.

Europe, the EU and the Eurozone have been in the news a lot recently and therefore this gathering is very appropriate and timely. Continental Europe is not one homogeneous entity but we believe by having at least one meeting in this region that we achieve better overall connection and communication with our Continental European members. Paris offers very good rail, road and air connections to other European centres and as such we want to encourage participation not just from the French market data community but from many others from a little further afield.

At this meeting, which will include one full day of conference and at least another half day of constituency meetings, we expect to see 100+ industry executives gathering to discuss a range of market and reference data topics. Some of those topics will be global but we actively solicit ideas for discussion topics that are more local and/or regional. Please contact David Anderson with any and all ideas you have for this program.

FISD (the Financial Information Services Division of the Software & Information Industry Association) is an internationally recognized non-profit organization that provides a neutral forum supporting the global financial information industry. We understand that market data distribution and efficient trade execution require a high-level of consistent and predictable service, all of which are dependent on the close cooperation of many independent organizations and systems. FISD members are comprised of market data consumers including banks, brokerages, asset management and investment firms, and hedge funds; content providers including exchanges, news organizations, inter-dealer brokers, and automated trading systems; and vendors, including market data vendors, redistributors, inventory management, platform and permissioning system providers, software developers, consulting firms and other professional services
