David Anderson is a well know market data consultant on both sides of the Atlantic. He has worked in the market data industry since 1984 - including roles with Telerate, Bishopsgate Systems and he spent nearly 13 years with Reuters culminating in various global marketing roles; predominantly working on market data systems (e.g. Triarch and RMDS). Since 2002 David has been operating Atradia (www.atradia.com), a management consultancy practice focused on the market data industry. He has been quoted commenting on the market data industry in major publications such as the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the International Herald Tribune, Business Week and many others. David speaks on the subject of market data at conferences and has moderated a wide variety of industry panel sessions. He edited the respected annual ‘IMD Reference’ book between 2003 and 2009 and most recently he has been very closely involved with the new SIIA/FISD initiative to create a professional certification program for market and reference data practitioners. David also acts as a Program Director for a variety of other FISD activities.

Maher Asham Joined EGID in 2003 as the CEO and a board member. EGID is a totally owned subsidiary of CASE working in the fields of financial information and system development for financial markets. Maher is also the IT Supervisor of CASE since 2004. During that period EGID managed to offer a wide range of information services, consultancy and systems in Egypt and the Middle East as well. Before EGID, Maher worked for Reuters since 1993 in several positions, in Cairo as well as in Geneva, ending as the Marketing and Business Development Manager for East Med. and North Africa. During that period he built the exchange data on Reuters platforms for MENA markets as well as developed several products and services. Maher is also a part time faculty in both the Management and Economics Departments at The American University in Cairo. He has been the IT manager of Santa Fe Drilling Co, and developed several educational simulation models about financial markets. Tristan Dehaan has worked for the dutch asset manager company Robeco since 2001. Initially responsible for custodian & TA outsourced service providers and then head of the dedicated Robeco market data group, beginning 2011 an organisation restructure led to the creation of a central vendor management department. The VM group manages IT, Market Data and Retail content licensing and here his responsibilities continue with focus on strategic planning, contract management including procurement and internal business consultant/external vendor relationship management.
From a market perspective and to bring knowledge inside Robeco, Tristan takes active involvement with various industry groups including FISD where he is currently serving as Executive Committee member, Co-Chair for the CCG, WFIC programme committee member and FIA Curriculum Committee member. Also a founding member of the Dutch market data peer group, the Rabobank synergy group (Robeco's mother company), network member of both Cossiom (Paris based user group) and IPUG (London based user group). On a different note, Tristan is also involved with the Institute of Management Studies (IMS) which via world leading and published industry experts teaches forward thinking and pioneering styles of the modern world and it's impact on organisations. Susan has worked over the past seven years in the role of Deputy Secretary General within the FEAS region to help develop and promote the member stock exchanges through her work in finance, statistics, report preparation and publication, conferences, advertising and strategic partnerships. FEAS currently has 34 member exchanges covering 30 countries in the Middle East, Asia and South East Europe.

After graduate school she worked in consulting for 5 years both in the US and Abroad in the areas of telecommunications and finance. In the time between undergrad and graduate school she worked for the Peace Corps in Botswana aimed at small business development.

Susan Gogus earned her “B.Sc.” degree in Accounting and International Business from Wake Forest University, and an “MSIA” degree in Strategy, Economics and Production from Carnegie Mellon Tepper Business School.

Brian Hyndman is Senior Vice President, of Global Data Products for The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc., the world’s largest exchange company. He is responsible for the creation and dissemination of valuable information from the quoting and trading in NASDAQ OMX’s trading systems worldwide. Hyndman oversees various internal teams, including Sales, Product Management, Content Administration & Policy, and New Business Development.

He previously headed the Sales Department of Transaction Services in the US where he was responsible for managing operations of U.S. equities trading platforms including The NASDAQ Stock Market, NASDAQ OMX BX and NASDAQ OMX PSX.

Prior to joining NASDAQ in 2004, Mr. Hyndman was the President of the BRUT which was an Electronic Communications Network (ECN) that competed with the various equity markets in the US. He presided over the company’s merger with Strike, the sale BRUT to Sungard Data Systems and the eventual sale of BRUT to NASDAQ in 2004.

Prior to joining BRUT, Mr. Hyndman served as Vice President of Execution Services for the National Discount Brokers Group, managing 120 employees. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the State University of New York at Oswego. He also holds numerous licenses from the National Association of Securities Dealers, including the 4, 7, 24, 27, 53 and 63.

André’s role, within BNP Paribas, is to analyse the market data landscape and all factors such as regulations, mergers, IT innovations … that can impact it. His topics of interest are both the offer side (vendors, exchanges, brokers, new ventures) and the demand side (BNP Paribas business lines). Since 2005, he focused on the MiFID directive and its impacts on Market Data and Market structure for the different BNP Paribas business lines. He is very invested in the collaborative approach in different user groups (Cossiom, IPUG, FISD…). Previously Head of BNP Paribas Market Data projects from 2002 to 2006, he has been working in the Capital Market area for 20+ years. He was hired by Paribas in 1990 as a project manager to lead the development of the trading system for Fixed Income and Derivatives. He was then appointed head of IT for trading rooms in Paris where he oversaw support, production, engineering and administration of Market Data and trading systems worldwide. He was part of the Euro and Y2K projects within BNP Paribas. Previously, he worked for two years at Alcatel as a researcher in quantum optics and three years at the financial direction of Ciments Francais, a French cement company, in charge of developing models and simulations for the acquisition department. He holds two MS in Physics and Electrical Engineering.

Thomas Krantz serves as Secretary General of the World Federation of Exchanges, the Paris-based trade association for the regulated exchange industry. He has been with the Federation since 1997.

In support of better quality financial reporting, he has served on the International Federation of Accountants’ IAASB Consultative Advisory Group since 2002. In conjunction with his work on financial information, Mr. Krantz served a term as Chairman of the Advisory Board for XBRL International.

Before coming to WFE, Mr. Krantz worked as an institutional investment advisor and head of the sales team at the Banque de Gestion Privée / Crédit Agricole group in Paris, and prior to that headed equity sales and trading at Dresdner Bank’s Paris office. He also worked at Arthur Young in Paris as an auditor in the financial services sector. From 1986-88, Mr. Krantz managed central bank reserves deposited at the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, along with the bank’s own capital invested in multi-currency treasury instruments. Mr. Krantz began his career in the credit training program at the Chase Manhattan Bank in 1979, working successively in New York and Paris in country risk evaluation and in corporate banking for trading and commodity companies.

Mr. Krantz was born in Los Angeles. He earned an A.B. degree with high honors in history from the University of California at Berkeley; an A.M. degree in Russian studies from Harvard University; and an M.Litt. degree in politics from Oxford University, upon defence of a thesis on Soviet foreign policy.

Mr. Krantz is married and has two children. His non-professional community support goes to Healing Hands, a micro-foundation in Poona, India, devoted to sanitation and nutrition in a girls’ school.

He is responsible for identifying and developing services that are designed to meet Interactive Data's clients’ needs for regulatory compliance and risk management. He also led the implementation of a Business Entity Service, which can help clients to obtain a more complete picture of the corporate hierarchy of an entity in order to understand its capital structure and global exposure, as well as perform pre- and post-trade technical analysis. Darren joined Interactive Data over ten years ago as a product marketing manager for the company’s reference data services. Nigel Matthews is Programme Manager and Global Head of Strategy for the Global Reference Data (GRD) Programme at Nomura. The GRD Programme aims to provide timely and consistent data that is critical to support business operations such as client engagement, decision support, risk control and capital utilisation. Nigel is responsible for ensuring GRD achieves its objective of aligning resources, platforms and processes to facilitate greater efficiency across jurisdictions, geographic regions and demographic consumer groups.
Nigel has twenty years industry experience in business development and programme management, delivering solutions in reference data management, market data distribution, business integration, risk and compliance domains.

Prior to joining Nomura, Nigel Matthews was Global Head of Product Management for Thomson Reuters Enterprise Platform, an enterprise data management platform. Prior to that, Nigel was Business Development Manager for Capital Markets at Oracle, where he was responsible for managing collaborative initiatives for Client / Counterparty Data Management, Trade Lifecycle Management as well as regulatory directives such as MiFID. Nigel has a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering and holds an ACI Diploma in Money Markets. Nigel is also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments and has formerly chaired industry forums such as JWG-IT Technology Special Interest Group (TechSIG).

Michael McCrea is a Senior Manager within TMX Datalinx, a division of TMX Group. Since 2001, Michael has been responsible for the TMX Group Market Data Customer Support and Administration businesses, which includes supporting the global market data distribution channels for TSX, TSX Venture, Montreal Exchange, and various third party content suppliers. His group is responsible for all aspects of market data administration including contracting, market data usage policies, and customer reporting, invoicing, and compliance. Michael has been in the financial industry since 1987, working in various positions within the market data consumer and vendor firms, is currently on the Executive Committee of the FISD (the Financial Industry Services Division of the SIIA), and serves as Co-Chair of the Exchange Constituency Group.

The master data feed for investment and leverage products is the leading benchmark feed for retail investment products on the German market. One of the highlights of this feed is a multiple classification system for each individual instrument.
