SIIA Announces Leadership Change:
DC Trade Association Veteran Jeff Joseph Will Be SIIA’s New President and CEO
Washington, D.C. (December 13, 2018) – The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal association for the software and digital content industries, has selected Jeff Joseph as its new President and CEO. Joseph joins SIIA after holding senior positions in major global high-tech trade associations and heading his own company, Starlight Public Affairs. He succeeds the current President and CEO, Ken Wasch, who founded the trade association thirty- five years ago, and is retiring at the end of this month. Jeff will start at SIIA on January 3, 2019.
SIIA President and CEO, Ken Wasch, issued the following statement:
“From leading the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s (BIO) communications efforts, serving as Senior Vice President of Communications and Strategic Relationships for the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), to founding Starlight Public Affairs, Jeff Joseph brings SIIA a wealth of invaluable experience in association management and strategic communications. Jeff is well-equipped to serve the diverse interests and needs of SIIA, from planning and executing our numerous conferences and awards programs to building the profile of the association’s public policy efforts. We are very excited for Jeff’s arrival and look forward to having him onboard as our new leader.”
