Paul Man Yiu Chow
Chief Executive, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited [HKEx]

Paul Chow was appointed Chief Executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) on 1 May 2003. In this capacity, Mr. Chow is also an ex-officio member of the Board of HKEx. Before he joined HKEx, Mr. Chow was the Chief Executive, Asia Pacific ex-Japan Region, of HSBC Asset Management (Hong Kong) Limited for six years from April 1997 to April 2003. Mr. Chow is currently a member of the Digital 21 Strategy Advisory Committee of the Government of the HKSAR, the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform, and the Council and Court of the University of Hong Kong. He is also a Director of the Board of World Federation of Exchanges and Chairman of its Working Committee.

James Dyson

hief representative of China, Enterprise Media Group, Dow Jones

James Dyson is the chief representative for Dow Jones Enterprise Media Group - China, and manager of its Chinese Language Services. James entered the news business when he joined Telerate in 1987. After Telerate was bought by Dow Jones in 1989, he became part of the much larger Dow Jones news operation in London. In 1996, James became news editor for Dow Jones Newswires’ Commodities Service in Europe. He relocated to Singapore in mid-1997 to oversee the news coverage of the Asia-Pacific commodity markets. In 2000 James moved to Beijing to manage Dow Jones’ Chinese Language Services. In January 2008 he became the chief representative of Dow Jones Enterprise Media Group in China. 
 


                 
Conor Allen
VP, Technology and Director of Research and Develpment, NYSE Euronext Advanced Trading Solutions


Mr. Conor Allen is Vice President of Technology and Director of Research and Development for NYSE Euronext Advanced Trading Solutions.In this role, Mr. Allen is responsible for the High Performance Messaging Division of NYSE Euronext Advanced Trading Solutions, which produces the Wombat Data Fabric; a multi-transport shared memory based messaging system that provides breakthrough messaging performance in terms of latency and throughput. Mr. Allen is also responsible for Research and Development within NYSE Euronext Advanced Trading Solutions, he evaluates new and emerging technologies and determining their applicability within the NYSE Euronext Advanced Trading Solutions product stack.



Craig Bradley
Managing Director, MicroRose Limited
 
Craig Bradley founded MicroRose in 1995, an organisation specialising in performing audits solely on behalf of exchanges/market data providers, to assess compliance with their policies/contracts.  In the past two years, MicroRose has performed in excess of 200 on-site audits worldwide, 60% of which were consumer firms/end users, 40% vendors.  The majority of these audits were for more than one data provider at the same time.  MicroRose continues to be the most prolific royalty/compliance audit operator in the industry. Craig has been in the market data industry for 18 years, working for both a London vendor and exchange before founding MicroRose.
 



Gordon Mark BrownGordon Mark Brown
Head of Information Technology, Fund Management, Asia, Information Technology, Prudential Fund Management

Gordon Brown joined Prudential Corporation Asia in July 2004 as the Regional Head of Information Technology - Funds. Gordon is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has 17 years of Asset Management experience of which 11 years have been spent in progressive roles with Asset Management software vendors. Prior to joining Prudential, Gordon worked as the Head of Client Relationship Management for Charles River Development based out of London with responsibility for all European and Asian clients. As the Head of Information Technology - Fund Management Asia, Gordon manages the Regional Funds IT team in Singapore and local teams in 10 ventures across the region, with the responsibility of developing, implementing and supporting the core applications that manage and control risk and drive synergies for the Fund Management businesses across the region.


Stacey Campbell
Account Manager, New Zealand Exchange Limited

Stacey currently leads NZX's (New Zealand Exchange's) data product design and sales functions across its real time product offerings plus its reference and fundamental data businesses. Stacey has worked in a variety of sales, account management and operational positions at NZX Data for the past four years.  Prior to NZX, Stacey worked in the Insurance industry at AXA New Zealand and Independent Insurance and Trenwick Lloyd's Syndicate in London.



Bryan ChanBryan Chan
Information Services Department, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited

Bryan joined HKEx and its Risk Management Department in 2000 and was appointed Deputy Head of Clearing in 2001. He became Head of Information Services in 2005. Prior to joining HKEx, Mr. Chan was a member of the Administrative Officer grade in the Hong Kong Government for more than 10 years. His last postings in the Government included the Hong Kong delegation to the World Trade Organization in Geneva and the Financial Services Bureau. Mr. Chan has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Hong Kong.


               
Christian Chan
Head of Electric Trading, Asia Instinet

As Head of Electronic Trading, Asia for Instinet, a global agency broker and wholly owned subsidiary of Normura Holdings, Inc., Mr. Chan oversees the Firm’s entire suite of direct market access (DMA), crossing networks and algorithmic trading products and services for the Asia-Pacific region.
Based in the Firm’s Tokyo office, Mr. Chan oversees the sales and marketing efforts for Instinet’s Proprietary Trading System (PTS) group, which includes JapanCrossing™, a pure DMA black box and Japan’s largest off-exchange PTS liquidity pool for institutional investors crossing Japanese equities, and CBX™ Japan, a real time and continuous alternative venue and global electronic market that allows trader to negotiate and trade large blocks of stocks with counterparties at mutually agreed prices. Mr. Chan is also responsible and had successfully launched KoreaCross™ the Korean markets first independent crossing platform.


Tom Davin
Managing Director, FISD/SIIA

Tom Davin is Managing Director, Financial Information Services Division (FISD) for the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). FISD is the global, neutral forum for the financial information industry with a diverse membership that includes major market data vendors, exchanges, technology providers, and the financial institutions that utilize financial data products. Tom works closely with FISD members to identify major issues and seek opportunities to bring the financial information industry together to discuss and resolve those issues. FISD conducts regular membership events in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia and hosts the biennial World Financial Information Conference – the premiere global industry conference for financial information professionals.



Frank DesmondFrank Desmond
Head of Europe and Asia, Tullett Prebon Information

Frank Desmond manages Tullett Prebon Information's business across Europe and Asia. Tullett Prebon Information provides the financial community with high quality real-time, intraday and historical market data from the inter-dealer brokered OTC financial markets. He has been responsible for spearheading Tullett Prebon Information's growing Asian inter-dealer broker data business. Prior to joining Tullett Prebon Information, he worked at Reuters for more than a decade and most recently was Head of Content Acquisition. As an experienced market data professional, he is a frequent speaker at industry events and served on the FISD executive committee for several years. Frank began his career as a lawyer where he worked for several years at international law firm, Clifford Chance LLP. He was educated at University College Dublin. Frank is based in London.


Kiang DalaroyKiang Dalaroy
Chief Information Officer, Shanghai Stock Exchange Information and Network Ltd.

Mr. Kiang Dalaroy is the CIO of SSE Infonet Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai Stock Exchange. SSE Infonet is responsible for commercializing SSE's information asset and operating the SSE public website. Prior to the current post, he has worked for Reuters Ltd. for 15 years in a number of regions and disciplines. Mr. Dalaroy holds a Degree in Electronics Engineering and an EMBA qualification.

Eight years with Citi Marketdata Services - six years in New York City designing, integrating and supporting distributed market data infrastructure; nearly two years revamping the infrastructure in Asia Pacific. Regional Manager for Marketdata Services in Asia Pacific covering business and technology. Prior to Citi, I worked for 5 years in Open Systems Engineering at Reuters New York City. Master of Science in Electrical Engineering - St. Petersburg Polytechnic Institute, Russia. Master of Science in Executive Technology Management - Stevens Institue of Technology, Hoboken, New Jersey. Fluent in Russian.



James Farrer
Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Interactive Data Corporation

Interactive Data is a leading global provider of financial market information services and solutions for the financial sector.   James Farrer’s role as Managing Director, Asia Pacific, has responsibility for the regional  Interactive Data business, covering Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong Taiwan, Korea, China and India.  He is a member of the Interactive Data Senior Management Group.  Prior to joining Interactive Data in 1984, James had extensive experience in large scale commodity trading in Asia, the Middle East, USA and Eastern Europe.


E. John Fildes
Managing Director, Instinet Pacific                

E. John Fildes is the Managing Director of Instinet Pacific, responsible for all the operations of Instinet in non-Japan Asia. Prior to this he was with Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong for 10 years where he held positions as the Head of Equity Marketing and Head of Electronic and Program Trading for the Institutional Equity Division in Asia-Pacific. Before that he was the Head of MSCI for Asia Pacific and was actively involved in the launch of MSCI futures contracts for Taiwan and Singapore on SIMEX. He is also the Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific FIX (Financial Information Exchange Protocol) Steering Committee and is active in promoting the protocol throughout the region. He has been a member of the Steering Committee since 2000. He has written and spoken extensively on the subject of FIX and Electronic Trading.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley Mr. Fildes held various positions in Europe with the Financial Times Group, Standard and Poor’s and Reuters and has an extensive knowledge of the financial information marketplace.


Jeremy Green
Regional Market Data Manager, Asia Pacific, Lehman Brothers

Jeremy Green has twelve years of international experience in market data engineering, development and service management.  Jeremy graduated from the University of Bristol, England, majoring in Computer Science. Past employers and have contracts have included:  Goldman Sachs (Japan), Credit Suisse First Boston Garantia (Brazil), CS First Boston (London), KPMG (London).



Elliott Hann
Head of Sales, Asia Pacific, GFI Group

Elliott is responsible for GFI’s Data and Analytics Business in Asia Pacific including the FENICS suite of Analytical Products.  Prior to joining GFI Group in 2007 Elliott held the position of Head of Fixed Income, Asia at Thomson Reuters and had more than 10 years direct experience of dealing with building, managing and supplying data product in London and Singapore.  Prior to his professional career Elliott studied International Business in London and Vienna.

Keiren Harris is an independent consultant who specialises in advising on business development and partnerships in financial markets across the Asia-Pacific region, building on 20 years of consulting experience with major institutions including Jardine Fleming, JP Morgan, Calyon, and Tullett Prebon. Keiren's in-depth knowledge of local markets, trading, and information services has led clients to achieving significant deals in China, Korea, Japan, and region-wide.


Kerr HatrickKerr Hatrick
Director, Head, Asia, Quantitative Products One, Global Markets Equity, Deutsche Bank

Kerr received his PhD in Mathematical Biology from University College London. He has worked both in the risk management and pricing of credit derivatives (Dresdner Bank, Lehman Brothers), and as quanititative strategist for both Goldmans and Deutsche, where his research spanned both high and low frequency delta-one products. He has constructed and managed equity portfolios in excess of $100M, and his software has won numerous industry awards for Deutsche Bank. He currently heads Quantitative Products One in Asia.


Natasha Hung
Data Product Manager, Asia, GFI Group

Natasha is responsible for managing GFI’s Data Product business across Asia Pacific including Japan based out of Singapore.  Prior to joining GFI, Natasha worked at Bloomberg L.P. for 4 years involved in a variety of roles within Sales & Account Management, Analytics and APAC product control for Compliance and Messaging systems in Singapore and Hong Kong. She obtained a Law degree from the University of Nottingham, England and studied Mandarin in Beijing.


Wenlin Juang
Business Development Manager, Enterprise Division, Thomson Reuters

Wenlin Juang is the Business Development Manager for the Enterprise Division at Thomson Reuters.  Based in Hong Kong, her role is to drive the business for the pricing and reference data feed primarily used in the middle and back office of custodians banks, fund administrators and fund managers. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, Wenlin was a relationship manager at Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong, responsible for developing the fund management business.  Her other professional experiences also included setting up a hedge fund for China Development Industrial Bank as well as working as an institutional sales for Smith Barney Inc. in both New York and Hong Kong.



Neil Katkov, PhDNeil Katkov, PhD
Senior Vice President, Asia Research Group, Celent

Neil Katkov, based in the firm's Tokyo office, is Senior Vice President of Celent's Asia Research group. His areas of expertise include the Asian financial services industry, financial services distribution channels, and compliance issues including anti-money laundering and business continuity planning. Dr. Katkov is widely quoted in the press and frequently appears on television and at conferences. He holds a BA from the University of California at Berkeley and MA and PhD degrees from Harvard University. He is fluent in English, Japanese, and Chinese.


                 
Greg Lee

Greg Lee joined UBS’s Equities division in 2007.  Based in Hong Kong, he is primarily responsible for sales of UBS direct market access and algorithmic products.  Greg has in excess of 12 years experience working with financial institutions and financial trading systems in over 10 countries across the globe. His knowledge covers selling, consulting and implementing solutions in foreign exchange, bond trading and equity trading systems. Previously, he was Head of Reuters Enterprise division across the Asia region (2004 to 2007).  Before that, he worked as a consultant and project manager for Tibco Finance Technology.


                 
Raymond Lo
Assistant Vice President, Compliance, Information Services Department, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd.

Raymond is in charge of the Compliance section of the Information Services Department of HKEx.  He joined the Stock Exchange in 1995 and has ad major roles in the supervision of the compliance status of Exchange Participants.  Mr. Lo has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Wales and the University of Manchester in the UK.  He has professional qualifications as a Chartered Secretary and Certified Public Accountant.


Dara Lyne
Associate Director, Global Market Data Manager, Macquarie Group

Dara was educated in Ireland and has over 15 years of experience working in financial services industry primarily in Australia.  Dara has worked in roles ranging from application development and support of systems servicing the finance industry thru to IT infrastructure management roles in the financial services industry.  Dara has worked for Macquarie Group in Sydney for 9 years and assumed global responsibility for market data services for Macquarie in 2006.

Rory Manchee joined Standard & Poor's in 2002, building on a career in professional, legal, financial and business publishing that began in 1989. Before joining Standard & Poor's Melbourne office, Rory ran his own publishing, consulting and freelance editorial business in Sydney, Australia. Previously, he spent 12 years with The Thomson Corporation, holding various roles in editorial management, content development, start-up operations, mergers and acquisition, business development and online publishing in the UK, Asia and Australia, including six years based in Hong Kong. During his time in Asia, Rory worked on a number of publishing and information projects for government and public bodies in China, including the Office of Legislative Affairs of the State Council; the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC); the China Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission; the Hong Kong Department of Justice; and Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd. Rory holds an LLB (Hons) degree from the University of Leeds (England), and has also worked as a paralegal in local government in London.

Nick Morrison is a Director and Head of Marketdata & Middleware Technology within the Lehman Brothers European Infrastructure Division. Nick joined Lehman Brothers 7 years ago as a specialist in Middleware Messaging & Process Automation Technologies. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, he worked for Chase Manhattan Emerging Markets Fixed Income Analytics group developing realtime trading systems and then with Motorola Ltd on messaging solutions. Prior to this, Nick spent 3 years working for Teknekron/Tibco as a Marketdata technology consultant.


Jennie Ness
Regional Intellectual Property Attaché, Southeast Asia, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office

Jennie Ness is the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Regional Intellectual Property Attaché for Southeast Asia, based in the Commercial Section at the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand. Ms. Ness’s responsibilities include: working with U.S. industry to aid them in protecting and enforcing their intellectual property rights in the global market; providing legal and technical assistance to Southeast Asia’s governments to assist them in improving the intellectual property legal and enforcement environment in the region; promoting greater understanding of the importance of intellectual property protection by speaking and writing about intellectual property issues; and negotiating various intellectual property issues on behalf of the Commerce Department and the U.S. government.


Bill Nichols
Program Director, Securities Processing Automation, Financial and Information Services Division (FISD)

Bill is Program Director for Securities Processing Automation for FISD. In this role, he concentrates on the intersections between technology and business practice. Special emphasis is in the areas of Standards, where he manages the Standards Steering Committee, Shadow Groups to track Standards developments, represents FISD members on several ISO Committees and is responsible for maintaining MDDL.

As the Asia Pacific Head of Member Services, Mr. Porter Covers all operations, administration and technology support functions.  He has18 years of industry experience.  Joined Liquidnet in 2007 from Credit Suisse HK Left CS as a Director and Head of NJA Cash Securities Operations. At CS for 10 years with various roles in HK, Singapore, London and NY Prior to CS worked at Citibank, Mitsubishi and HSBC all in London
 


Reg Pritchard
Managing Director, Rights Management Associates Ltd.

Since 1999 Reg Pritchard has been owner and Managing Director of Rights Management Associates (RMA), the world’s leading independent specialists in market data contracts and policies. RMA provides confidential advice and support to exchanges, vendors and user firms on the development and implementation of contracts and policies. RMA also provides monitoring and research reports on internet use of market data, using specialised search and tracking facilities and a unique database of market data websites. In recent projects Reg has been researching and helping clients address new data challenges from enterprise-wide use to trading access, prime brokerage, third party applications and the licensing of indices and index derivatives. His industry experience prior to 1999 includes seventeen years in Reuters as International Business Administration Manager, Country Manager and Internal Auditor. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, co-chairs the FISD’s Vendor Constituency Group and is a member of the FISD Executive Committee.


Andrew ReeveAndrew Reeve

Andrew is responsible for building on Tullett Prebon Information's success in Asia Pacific and for continuing to grow the business across the regions financial markets. Before joining, Andrew worked at Thomson Reuters for 11 years in support, product and commercial roles in Sydney, Singapore and most recently Japan, where he was responsible for the management of some of the company's largest global clients in Asia Pacific. Andrew was educated at Macquarie University in Sydney, and is based in Singapore.


Jonathan Rodda
Vice President, State Street Bank and Trust Company

Jonathan Rodda is head of Investment Manager and Consultant Services for State Street Hong Kong, responsible for providing business and technology support to investment managers in the region. Jonathan is a Regional Director for the Securities Market Practice Group and during 22 years in the securities industry has been closely involved with automation solutions for the communication of financial data. He has been with State Street for 14 years and prior to that was with JPMorgan Investment Management.


Ferdy Rusdiyono
Vice President, Data Services, Singapore Exchange Limited

Ferdy Rusdiyono is the Vice President for Data Services division of the Singapore Exchange Ltd. (“SGX”). Prior to his current appointment at the SGX, Ferdy was a Data Analyst with Bloomberg LP. A position he held for over 6 years involved in fixed income and foreign exchange pricing contributions, equity related data products development and system/product integrations for South East Asian exchanges data feeds. In the past ten years, Ferdy has worked in a capacity as a Business Analyst for ANZ Banking Group Limited and Mercantile Mutual Funds Management Ltd. (ING Group) both in Australia.


  Herbie Skeete
   Editor, Mondo Visione

Herbie Skeete is the founder and managing director of Mondo Visione, publisher of specialist exchanges information, and organiser of the Mondo Visione Exchange Forum. With over 25 years experience in the financial information industry, Skeete is recognised globally as an expert on exchanges and content issues. Since 1991, he has produced the industry-standard Handbook of World Stock, Derivative and Commodity Exchanges as well as editing World Exchanges: Global Industry Outlook and Investment Analysis and editing and producing Trading Places. World Exchanges is a quarterly publication offering the first comprehensive review that takes a global perspective on the role and financial performance of the leading listed international securities exchanges. Guy TagliaviaGuy Tagliavia
Director, Front Office and Low Latency Messaging, Software Group, IBM

Guy Tagliavia has been an innovative business, management, and engineering leader in the financial markets for over 25 years. Mr.Tagliavia founded InfoDyne in 1992 and pioneered ultra low latency technology solutions for the financial front office market including high performance middleware, low latency market data, and high volume transaction systems, InfoDyne was acquired by IBM in 2008, and Mr.Tagliavia now runs the Websphere Front Office and Low Latency Messaging business globally within IBM. Prior to founding InfoDyne, Mr.Tagliavia held development and management positions for 8 years at Reuters, where, among other activities, he oversaw the development of all Triarch datafeed terminating products for Reuters Integrated Data Network (IDN). Prior to Reuters, Mr.Tagliavia also performed Research and Development activities at Rich Inc, conceiving and developing Rich's Triarch system - the first digital market information system for the financial trading industry.


George Tam
 
Associate Director, Supervision of Markets Securities and Futures Commission

Mr George Tam is an Associate Director in the Supervision of Markets Division of the Securities and Futures Commission (the “SFC”).  The Division is responsible for the supervision of exchanges, facilitation of market development and the formulation of policies for the effective regulation and development of the securities and futures markets in Hong Kong.  Mr Tam has served the SFC for more than 12 years.  He has extensive knowledge and experience in the supervision of the securities and futures markets. Before joining the SFC he had worked at financial institutions in Australia and Hong Kong.
 


Penelope Y.F. Tham
Head of Asia Compliance for ABN AMRO Bank N.V.

Ms. Tham is the Head of Asia Compliance for ABN AMRO Bank N.V. She has been a compliance professional for over 12 years and has worked for global investment banks in Singapore, Hong Kong and London. Prior to her compliance career, Ms. Tham was a corporate securities lawyer in Vancouver, B.C. and in Washington, D.C. for 10 years. She has also had experience with the British Columbia Securities Commission. Ms. Tham holds an LL.M degree in Securities Regulation (with Distinction) from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C.

 


                      
Yong Wang
CEO of Shanghai Stock Exchange InfoNet Ltd.

Yong Wang joined the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 1991 as deputy manager of Trading Department and Engineering Department. He was further the manager of Communications Department of Engineering Headquarters and deputy director of Information Center. In 1995 Mr. Wang became the deputy president of Shanghai Securities News, chairman and CEO of Shanghai Securities Information Ltd.. In 2002, he was appointed director of Information Service Group of Shanghai Stock Exchange. He took the current position since 2003. Mr. Wang is a committee member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of Shanghai. He holds an EMBA from Tsinghua University. Mr. Wang presided and directed several award winning application projects in the securities industry, such as the 2nd Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress and twice the 1st Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress.


Ken WaschKen Wasch
President, Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA)

Wasch's involvement in SIIA is based on both personal and professional interests. His long-standing interest in computers and software, coupled with the industry's need for a central trade association, led him to establish the Software Publishers Association (SPA) in 1984 with an initial group of 25 software firms. Wasch has led the association from its infancy to its merger with the Information Industry Association in January 1999, resulting in the formation of SIIA.


Andre WentAndre Went
Managing Director, Data Solutions Europe, NYSE Euronext

Andre Went graduated from the Erasmus, Rotterdam (Economics) in 1988. He joined the Amsterdam Stock Exchange in 1989 and worked on the implementation of the Trading System Amsterdam in the early 90s. After the merger with the Belgian and French exchanges in 2000 he became Group Policy Director based in Paris followed by his appointment of Director Strategy and Market Development in 2003. He was involved in several strategic projects and several international working committees of the FESE and World Federation of Exchanges. As of 1 January 2005 he is responsible as Managing Director of the business line Data Solutions in Europe. Data Solutions is responsible for providing financial market information of the NYSE Euronext Group and related services to the market.

Jutta Werner is currently Head of Content Acquisition for Asia Pacific for Thomson Reuters and has previously headed up the third party content acquisition & rights management activity for Reuters in Asia Pacific since 2004. Her team manages all commercial, contractual and compliance discussions with content suppliers to Thomson Reuters across the region and her current base is Singapore. Prior to her Asian roles she has worked in various content acquisition roles based out of London, and was in charge for the Reuters specialist data business globally between 2000 and 2004. In total she has 11 years of experience in the Market Data industry, covering both client facing and supplier facing roles in Sweden, France, the UK and Asia. Jutta holds a Master degree from EDHEC Graduate business school in France and a postgraduate degree in Business Studies from the London School of Economics.
