Babak Hodjat

CEO and Co-founder, Sentient

Babak Hodjat is a co-founder and the chief executive officer of Sentient. A serial entrepreneur, Babak has started numerous Silicon Valley companies as main inventor and technologist. Prior to co-founding Sentient, he was senior director of engineering at Sybase iAnywhere, where he led mobile solutions engineering. Babak was also a co-founder, CTO and board member of Dejima Inc., which was acquired by Sybase in April 2004. He is the primary inventor of Dejima’s patented, agent-oriented technology applied to intelligent interfaces for mobile and enterprise computing – the technology behind Apple’s Siri. Babak is a published scholar in various fields, including Artificial Life, Agent-Oriented Software Engineering, and Distributed Artificial Intelligence. He has 31 granted or pending patents to his name and holds a PhD in Machine Intelligence from Kyushu University, in Fukuoka, Japan.

Victoria Mellor

CEO and Co-Founder, Novatum Group

Victoria has been an entrepreneur for almost two decades, having co-founded Melcrum, an advisory and training business providing thought leadership and services to the top communication leaders in global organisations. Prior to selling the business in late 2015, Victoria led a global team achieving an enviable track record of profitable growth US and EMEA through the development of a shared cost, member-based consulting model. A regular speaker, Victoria is passionate about entrepreneurship. Her most recent venture Novatum Group partners with dynamic growth businesses to accelerate performance. She advises entrepreneurs, founders and owner-managers on growth strategies to help them achieve business goals. During her early career she was a business school teacher and editor in Spain and the United States and completed the Business Growth Programme at Cranfield University in 2004. She lives in Wimbledon, southwest London with her husband Robin and her two children Jake and Beatrice and is an accomplished long distance open water swimmer.

Kelly Parsons

CEO, OpsCat

The CEO of OpsCat and the former CEO of Melcrum Inc, Kelly helps business owners and teams redefine how they create value for customers and build the strategies, products and services to win big in market. Kelly joined Melcrum after running CEB’s Marketing Leadership Council and brought her expertise in strategy and innovation to bear in driving a wholesale transformation of Melcrum’s business model. Kelly holds an MBA from Wharton and an MA in International Economics from Johns Hopkins.

Debra Walton

Global Managing Director, Customer Proposition, Financial & Risk, Thomson Reuters

Debra Walton is the Global Managing Director, Customer Proposition, Financial & Risk at Thomson Reuters; she is a member of the Financial and Risk Division’s Executive Leadership Team and Executive Sponsor of the Women’s Network. Ms. Walton has been in senior management at the company since 2003, with roles in sales, marketing, strategy, product development, Financial & Risk and Operations. She currently has end-to-end responsibility for the division’s solutions and product offerings. Working from the firm’s Enterprise Innovation Hub in Baar Switzerland, she manages several large enterprise projects, including an ongoing effort to unify Thomson Reuter’s data across the enterprise as well as leading the execution of the firm’s open digital platform strategy. An expert on big data and the challenges it poses in today’s business world, Ms. Walton speaks frequently at global conferences and industry events where she discusses data management, innovation, and leadership. She blogs frequently on those topics, as well as on gender diversity issues, for sites such as The Huffington Post, Business Insider, and Financial IT. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, she was president and chief executive of Nucleus Inc., a technology start-up delivering enterprise solutions. Before that, she was the first female partner at Cantor Fitzgerald and a founding board member of the Cantor Financial Futures Exchange, the first electronic platform for trading U.S. Treasury futures contracts. In addition to her day to day responsibilities at Thomson Reuters Ms. Walton represents Thomson Reuters as a board member on the Tradeweb Board of Managers and she is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Data Science Institute at Imperial College in London. She is a board member at the Women’s Refugee Commission, a non-profit organization serving refugee women and children around the world, and an advisory board member at Springboard, a New York based nonprofit that brings together entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts to help women take their business plans to market. Ms. Walton recently was awarded the 2017 Gertrude Crain Award from the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) for her extraordinary record of achievement and service. In 2016 she was acknowledged as a Springboard Enterprises Oracle honoree, championing women entrepreneurship. In 2015, she was named a Woman of Vision by the Anita Borg Institute, won the coveted Merit Award from the Women’s Bond Club, and earned a spot on the New York Business Journal’s inaugural “Women of Influence” list. She has also won the New York Women’s Agenda Galaxy Award and the Women’s Venture Fund Highest Leaf Award. An avid golfer and sailor, Ms. Walton lives in Switzerland with her husband Marc.


Jason Abbate

As Director of Interactions for the Stein IAS, Jason leads a practice that develops multi-channel go-to-market strategies, integrating martech and adtech technologies with demand generation frameworks to help B2B clients engage audiences across the buyer journey. In this role, he has worked on integrated campaigns for a broad range of clients including Korn Ferry, Weight Watchers and Western Union. Jason has more than 20 years of marketing and media experience, having held senior positions at several agencies, managing interactive strategy as well as integrated paid, earned and owned media programs for clients such as Johnson & Johnson, GE, and Abbott Labs.

Gordon Anderson

Vice President of Content, InsideView

Gordon T. Anderson has been Vice President, Content at InsideView since the inception of the company in 2005. Before joining InsideView, Gordon was a Senior Producer at CNN/Money, Time Warner's flagship business-news service. Gordon's long career in media and technology includes co-founding five companies, including Individual Investor magazine,, and a European investment vehicle, CIR Ventures, based in Milan. Gordon also served as VP and Editor-in-Chief of Hoover's, the pioneering business information provider, during the company's most rapid growth period before and after its IPO. Though an East Coaster by birth and inclination, Gordon enjoys life in San Francisco, where the wine and beer are both much better. With his wife Julie, he spends much of his time trying to avoid serious injury to his toddler son, Logan, and infant daughter, Tenley. Anderson graduated, with honors, from the University of Pennsylvania.

Tom Chaffee

Robert Dippell

Mr. Dippell serves as Vice President of Corporate Development for Praetorian Digital. Robert brings a strong background in advertising campaign execution, online marketing, business strategy, graphic design, and the management of online business ventures. In his five years with the company, he has made key contributions to the business in the areas of revenue, product development, technology and marketing. He maintains deep knowledge of the safety industry and leads the management of key account relationships such as Cisco, TASER and Motorola, among others. Robyn Duda

For over a decade, Robyn Duda has been fearlessly shaking up the B2B media industry. Before roles at top enterprises like Ziff Davis, IDF, and UBM, she began her career masterminding the art of planning the world’s toughest events for the world’s most challenging clients: weddings for Manhattan brides. When she’s not elbow deep in a bag of gummy bears, she sits as the VP of Brand Strategy & Experience Design for the Americas business at UBM, an events-led marketing and communications business. Before reaching this peak, she managed the division responsible for producing customized experiences across the world for companies such as IBM, Dell, Cisco, HP and Microsoft. In her current role at UBM, she oversees a portfolio of events in the cruise shipping, catering, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. While constantly evolving and executing the overall brand positioning in the marketplace, she is keenly focused on ensuring all customers have a memorable experience. She also currently leads the UBM America’s customer experience initiative across the Americas. Robyn received a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Political Science from Muhlenberg College in 2004. She is an active contributor in the Philadelphia community where she resides and is constantly seeking inspiration to fuel both personal and professional ideas and innovation.

Dale Durrett

Dale is VP, Partnerships at Bombora. In this role he is responsible for working to identify, enable and scale partnerships. Prior to Bombora, Dale has worked in various leadership roles at 6sense, CBSi, LinkedIn & Dow Jones. At CBSi Dale lead the B2B sales team across NA and helped implement their marketing technology stack which is leveraged across editorial, audience development and sales. At LinkedIn, Dale was a founding member of the marketing solutions team leading all sales and marketing efforts on the East Coast, educating B2B brands on how to leverage social platforms, a very new marketing channel at the time. At Dow Jones, Dale lead the sales efforts for WSJ, Barron's & MarketWatch on the West Coast bringing some of the largest Technology, Finance & Auto brands into the digital realm for the first time.

Ethan Eisner

Vice President and Managing Director Global Commercial Markets, ReedTech

Ethan Eisner has general management responsibility for leading the global commercial markets businesses, as well as overseeing global strategy and M&A for the Reed Tech division of LexisNexis. Prior to this role, Ethan led the U.S. Corporate Legal & Compliance business of LexisNexis, with general management responsibility for the market. He also led the LexisNexis Enterprise Solutions business, focused on serving corporate professionals outside of the legal related functions, including information, sales, marketing and procurement professionals. Prior to joining LexisNexis, Ethan served as Vice President, Marketing & Product Development for Worknowledge, a training solutions company he helped found. He has also worked as Vice President and General Manager for The Franklin Mint, running the ecommerce and catalog businesses, and as a Case Team Leader with strategy consulting firm Bain & Company, where he worked with the top management of clients to help them realize material competitive advantages to generate substantial, lasting financial impact.

Denise Elliott

CEO, Kiplinger Washington Editors, Inc.

Denise is responsible for the circulation/sales efforts for five newsletters with a combined circulation of more than 275,000 and one consumer magazine with more than 600,000 subscribers. Founded in 1920 by W.M. Kiplinger, the company developed one of the nation’s first successful newsletters in modern times. The Kiplinger Letter, launched in 1923, remains the longest continually published newsletter in the U.S. Denise is also responsible for production, fulfillment and IT. She was previously president of Briefings Publishing Group, a newsletter publishing company in Alexandria, VA. Prior to Briefings, Denise was marketing vice president at Washington Business Information, Inc.

Denise is president of the SIIA board of directors, a past president of SIPA board of directors, board member at CSPI, publishers of Nutrition Action newsletter and past president of the DC Chapter of SIPA.

Benjamin Felix

COO, Red Spark

Benjamin Felix currently is Chief Operating Officer of Red Spark. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Red Spark is a conglomeration of various businesses including a self-service ad exchange, publisher monetizations, and other ad technology-focused businesses. Benjamin oversees all business operations, product, and finance at both the Philadelphia and Tel Aviv offices. Red Spark is also known for it's culture and has been recognized as a Top Place to Work in Philadelphia for the past three years in a row. Benjamin has lead extensive business leadership roles with SourceMedia, NAPCO, Citigroup, and others. Most recently, Benjamin launched CT Lab, a division of publications and events under NAPCO Media which targets the consumer technology vertical.

Daniel Fink

Managing Director, Money-Media, a Financial Times company

Dan oversees the Money-Media business unit, which was acquired by the Financial Times in January 2008. Money-Media is a native digital publisher with over 150 staff, nine products, and operations on three continents. Money-Media sits within FT Specialist, the Financial Times' specialist publishing division and publishes premium news across multiple industries. Dan is a member of the FT's senior management group, is the chairman of the FT's 401k investment committee, was elected to the board of directors for the Specialized Information Publishers Association (SIPA), and formerly served as Co-Chair of the East Coast Committee for the National Investment Company Service Association (Nicsa). Dan earned an MBA at Indiana University and was a national champion gymnast.

Sal Fuentes

Paul Gerbino

Paul works with publishers to effectively position their content and data in the right place at the right time for a variety of customers. TCC helps B2B, B2C, STM, scholarly and academic publishers License - negotiate the best deals; Monetize - develop new revenues; and Innovate - create new ways to ensure that content is useful today and continues to be tomorrow. Prior to joining Triumvirate in 2015, Paul was Publisher and Director, Digital Media Advertising of ThomasNet News, where he oversaw the Thomas Industrial Network news division and the digital media advertising operations and product creation.

Adam Goldstein

Publisher, Business Management Daily

Adam P. Goldstein is the publisher of Business Management Daily, a division of capitol Information Group, in Falls Church, VA. This is his second go-round with the company, having served as their marketing director in an earlier millennium. Business Management Daily produces newsletters, e-letters, books, reports, CDs, DVDs, membership websites, and over 200 webinars annually in the areas of human resources, leadership, office administration, office technology, and management. Adam has held marketing and publishing positions at Telecommunications Reports, Food Chemical News, Eli Research, and two stints at Business Publishers – his second as publisher and majority owner from 2005 to 2006. He also spent seven years as principal of MarketSmart (a marketing consultancy), and as the owner of a small company publishing energy and environmental newsletters. Adam is the former president of the D.C. chapter of SIPA. His articles have appeared in industry publications, and he has spoken at regional and national conferences. He’s really not as big a jerk as he seems once you get to know him.

Scott Gordon

CEO/Co-founder, Salutary Data LLC

Scott’s been a friend and member of SIIA for years and a long standing data industry guy. He spent 10 years at OneSource after its spinoff in 1994 from Lotus Development and through its sale to InfoGroup in 2004. He subsequently became the head of Partnerships at NetProspex as an early employee and investor and through its sale to D&B. Most recently, Scott was the Advisor to Unomy, an Israeli B2B data subscription company, who sold to WeWorks (8/2/17). Going with the downsizing theme, Scott’s present business endeavors revolve around startup activities. Here, he and the former technical cofounder from NetProspex created Salutary Data, a B2B company that aggregates B2B contact information. Scott is an active member in the Boston area angel community and a big fan and subscriber of Rob Rice’s Alternate Investments thesis (, which dovetails with the approach of Yale’s endowment fund (the highest performing endownment fund in the U.S.).

Kathy Greenler Sexton

CEO & Publisher, Subscription Insider

Kathy Greenler Sexton is the CEO & Publisher of Subscription Insider, a leading resource for intelligence on how to build, market and sell subscription-based products and services. Kathy is an executive leader with specialties in market strategy, brand development and digital information products with deep experience and achievements across the information industry in search, media, publishing and information services. Most recently, Kathy led the Software and Information Industry Association's Content Division as its VP & General Manager helping media, publishing and information companies navigate the dramatic changes in content creation, business models and technology impacting the content industry. She has played key roles in the successful acquisitions/mergers of to, NewsAlert/ Inlumen to Screaming Media (Dow Jones), and HighBeam Research to Gale/Cengage. She launched and led the growth of leading digital brands and products, including: AltaVista, and HighBeam Research. She also developed the strategy and executed turn-around and new market solutions for organizations that include: SIIA, ZoomInfo, Business & Legal Resources, Inlumen and OrderMotion. Ms. Sexton is known for injecting a great deal of energy and enthusiasm in her roles, offering strategic and tactical acumen to every project under her direction, and successfully leading new initiatives. She lives in the greater-Boston area with her husband and son. She is an avid skier and Boston sports fan.

Sean Griffey

Sean Griffey is the co-founder and CEO of Industry Dive, a B2B media start-up that publishes news and original analysis to more than 4 million business executives across 11 different verticals. Industry Dive has been named a Folio Magazine "Startup to Watch", Top 10 Hottest Publishing Startup by Mattermark, and an ABM "Innovative Media Launch." Sean initially got started in the media industry at FierceMarkets where he served as President and oversaw the launch of more than 25 digital titles and products. Sean was inducted into the min Digital Hall of Fame in 2015.

Bill Haight

President, Magna Publications, Inc.

William Haight is founder and president of Magna Publications, Inc., a producer of newsletters, online training and conferences for higher educational institutions. The company also annually produces four national higher education conferences for college student leaders, advisors and faculty. These conferences typically draw as many as 1,000 participants from colleges across the country. In recent years, Magna has been delivering more of its content via online audio and video seminars. Typical topics are “Quality matters in the design of online courses,” and “Faculty tips for spotting potentially dangerous students.” Haight is a former board member of the Newsletter Publishers Association, a forerunner of SIPA. In 2001 Haight received the Madison Advertising Federation's Silver Medal Award for "Lifetime contributions to the field of advertising." Haight, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, is married to Nancy and has three children.

Tagg Henderson

Owner and Co-CEO, BNP Media

Taggart E. Henderson is an owner and Co-CEO of BNP Media, a privately held, diversified b-to-b media company founded in 1926 and headquartered in Troy, MI. He began working for BNP in 1995. In 2001, he and his two brothers became the fourth generation to run the company. Prior to joining BNP, Tagg worked for KPMG in New York City. He graduated from New York University with an accounting degree. Tagg has served on the boards of BPAWW and the Motor City Chapter of YPO, where he was Chapter Chair in 2012. Tagg lives in Bloomfield Hills, MI and enjoys racing triathlons. He has completed 3 Ironman’s.

Luis Hernandez
