JUDGING
Phase One:
Finalists Determined by Media and Expert Judges
Nominations due October 4, 2002
Products & Information due to Judges by October 25, 2002
SIIA has recruited a broad panel of judges consisting of representatives from the software and information industry trade press, mainstream technology writers and experts in education technology. The judging panel selected for each respective Codie Awards category will review all nominees, voting for five finalists.
By October 9, 2002, the contact person listed on your nomination form will receive a list of judges assigned to review the category/categories in which your product or service is nominated, along with contact information. It is the responsibility of the designated contact person to promptly forward a copy of your product, any necessary access codes or other appropriate information to each judge. There are three to five judges assigned to evaluate products in the initial phase of judging in each category. If your product or service is nominated in three categories, you will be responsible for supplying up to 15 copies during the preliminary review process.
It is in your company's best interest to supply each judge with the nominated title/appropriate information as soon as possible to allow ample time for consideration and review.
The deadline to supply judges with all appropriate materials is October 25, 2002. If you are nominating a Web site, you must provide all judges with the URL and access information by the same deadline dates (October 25, 2002).
Note: Beta versions of software will not be accepted. Gold masters are accepted but not recommended.
What may be submitted to judges:
- Full working versions of the nominated product (preferred)
- Web site URL and password and login, if necessary (for online products only)
- Online, self-running demo of the product. You may include a contact name and information for technical questions.
- Self-running demo on CD-ROM.
See list of expert judges.
