Judging
The Codie Awards are judged in two rounds. The first round is judged by industry trade journalists and education specialists (3-5 judges are assigned to each category). The rankings of nominees by these judges determine the Codie Awards Finalists.

The second round is a peer-review process in which voting members of SIIA review the Finalists and cast votes for winners in each category. Winners will be determined from a combination of first round judges and SIIA Member votes. First round judge rankings will be weighted at 30% and SIIA Member votes will be weighted at 70%.

First Round
It is the responsibility of the contact person designated by each nominee to promptly forward a copy of the product, any necessary access codes or other appropriate information to each assigned judge by October 25, 2002. Beta versions of software will not be accepted. Gold masters are accepted but not recommended.

The following may be submitted to judges:

  • Full working versions of the nominated product (preferred)
  • Web site URL and password and login, if necessary (for online products only)
  • Online, self-running demo of the product. You may include a contact name and information for technical questions.
  • Self-running demo on CD-ROM.

Second Round
Only current SIIA voting members may participate as judges in the second round of judging. Member companies are provided one vote per company in each Codie Awards category.
