Tutoring is offered via our innovative Pay-Per-Result concept or traditional membership.

While the two established quiz modules require active input of the word studied, a third quiz module that focuses on correct understanding and usage of the word is currently in Beta (scheduled to go live end of May).

Every learning session is custom designed based on the member's individual learning profile, considering personal goals, priority words requested, as well as learning history.

    MyReadingLab - Pearson Education

MyReadingLab is a complete online learning system, and the first and only program that helps students to master reading skills and transfer this skill mastery into a reading process. The principal strengths of MyReadingLab are its wealth of instructional resources, abundance of practice, and comprehensive assessment and progress tracking.

With MyReadingLab’s instructional resources, students have access to a variety of learning aids to fit their interests and learning styles. Each MyReadingLab skill topic contains the programmatic pedagogical devices: overview (abbreviated skill lesson), model (examples modeling the use of the skills), animation tutorials (helping students to see concepts while listening/reading along), and an integrated eTextbook.

MyReadingLab’s copious practice is unrivaled. There are two practice engines in MyReadingLab: one for skill mastery and one to improve readability, and a total of five exercise types. The Reading Skills area is composed of over 1,200 readings across the 24 skill topics. Each topic contains Practice and Test activities. Both activities are delivered in sets, with each set containing two readings and supporting questions. Students receive instant feedback/coaching in the Practice to help them through, but are challenged to be more independent with the Test by not having access to the feedback.

Complementing the Reading Skills is the Reading Level area, powered by Metametrics’ Lexile Framework for Reading, the premier readability-improvement system. After completing an initial readability diagnostic, students work with the readings (300 readings total) within their Lexile measure. As a student moves from one Lexile range to another, the list of available readings also changes so that students are constantly working at level, for maximum learning and improvement.

The comprehensive progress tracking keeps instructors abreast of how students are performing and what they’re doing in MyReadingLab. The Reading Skill Diagnostic Pre-Test assesses students’ individual strengths and weaknesses, while summarizing the scores for the entire class. This topic view empowers instructors to prioritize the lessons. The MyReadingLab Gradebook records all student work in MyReadingLab. From time on task to the number of sets completed and the score for each to recaps of students’ responses, MyReadingLab helps instructors to monitor their students’ overall progress and activity throughout the course.

In addition to MyReadingLab’s instruction, practice and assessment, students have access to more learning resources directly through MyReadingLab: Pearson’s Vocabulary Website, Pearson’s Study Skills Website, and MySearchLab(Pearson’s robust research website).
