SoftChalk Cloud is an educator-friendly content authoring platform in the cloud. This comprehensive product provides easy-to-use features for creating content to be used across multiple subjects and grade levels. New content can be created and existing content can be repurposed with built-in tools for sharing, organizing and managing content as well as the tracking of score data.
SoftChalk Cloud also offers a Learning Object Repository (LOR) where SoftChalk users from around the globe are sharing educational content, in multiple curriculum areas, under creative commons licensing. This content can be re-used and re-purposed for use in a variety of learning contexts.
The content that can be created in SoftChalk Cloud includes sets of quiz questions, interactive learning activity components, lessons (that may be as short as a 1-page lesson to a 40-page lesson) and entire eCourses. All of the content is granular, portable and tagged with metadata so that it can be cataloged and searched by keyword, subject category, grade level, and content type.
