Amtel
It has been very exciting for us. Being part of CODiE awards brings us in ranks of truly innovative companies. The multiple stage selection process involving independent judges & then peer to peer reviews makes sure that the best of breed gets put forward.

Aspera GmbH
We got a very good impression and will certainly participate again. This was our first year participating in the CODiE Awards. We didn’t know what to expect with the judges and were pleasantly surprised by their genuine interest. The judges were engaged in the details, so it was pretty clear early on that we were dealing with likewise experts in the subject. This lent a very professional and serious tone to the evaluation and really gave us a chance to dig into the technology. This in turn gave us the feeling that winning a CODiE Award was a real achievement and not just an arbitrary assessment. You can image how excited we were when we found out that we won both categories we competed in.
Blackboard, Inc.
With only 31 winners from 395 nominations, we were honored to receive two CODiE Awards this year from our industry-peers. The awards affirms the commitment we’ve made to transforming traditional corporate training courses into strategic engagements through learning communities built around ongoing, peer-to-peer interaction. By embedding the concepts of informal learning right into the platform, Blackboard Learn helps increase knowledge retention and there is an immediate, positive impact on business. We are excited to continue the positive momentum we’ve generated in support of our clients.
Brighter Futures for Beautiful Minds
We are honored to have been chosen as a CODiE Award winner this year. We feel that the CODiE Award embraces the future of education technology and how it applies to improving the learning environment for all students.

Coveo
In 2010, Coveo was pleased to accept its second SIIA CODiE Award in the category of Best Enterprise Search Engine. Our Enterprise Search Platform and Customer Information Access Solutions help organizations easily search and access information stored across the enterprise, by combining structured and unstructured data from any enterprise system, including social networks, into a central, unified index.
The Coveo team enjoys participating in the CODiE awards each year, not only because it is an opportunity to showcase our latest product innovations in the enterprise search and information access market, but also because it is a great opportunity to network with other senior level executives throughout the software and information industry and engage in a meaningful dialogue on our solutions, the business challenges we’re helping organizations to overcome, and the results we’ve achieved for customers.
Each year, we are encouraged by the feedback we receive from members of the Software & Information Industry Association on Coveo’s solutions. As senior level IT executives, they can relate first hand to the business challenges that Coveo is helping organizations overcome, and thus, see the extreme value in Coveo. They too are faced with the growing proliferation of enterprise data and content. In fact, this year, several of the judges were interested in having additional conversations about how Coveo can help their own business and asked to have additional conversations outside the realm of the judging process. Clearly, in this instance, the CODiE judging process also served as a new business opportunity for Coveo as well.
Each year, the award entry process is very seamless. The CODiE Award organizers do a great job of communicating frequently about deadlines, the process, and next steps. They are always readily available to help field questions and provide guidance on the process and have been able to adapt to changes in the marketplace by adding new categories. We look forward to being part of the SIIA CODiE awards for years to come.
DICOM Grid
Here at DICOM Grid, we view the SIIA CODiEs as the software and information industry’s equivalent to the Academy Awards. Bringing home "Best Medical Information Solution" is a reflection of our company's hard work and dedication to transforming healthcare IT, and we couldn't be more thrilled. The SIIA does a wonderful job coordinating the program, and offers the most professionally organized awards that I have ever experienced. DICOM Grid can't wait to participate in next year's award!
— Dana Tee, Marketing Manager
Edvance360
Edvance360 was excited to win the CODiE Award for Best Post-Secondary Course or Learning Management System. Since it is an award given by peers in the technology industry, it means more to us than an award from a corporate organization in which membership fees or dues entitle you to be evaluated. We won against some better-known names, so we feel the process is not based on “who you know” or “who knows of you” but is actually entirely focused on what it says it focuses on: peers evaluating their peers to find the very best.
Fiberlink
Members of SIIA and CODiE Award judges are a real class act. The awards process is a good opportunity for networking, product feedback, and provides great exposure to our company.
— Jonathan Dale, Director of Marketing
ForteHCM
This was our first year participating at the CODiE awards and we were excited to win the CODiE award for Best Human Capital Management Solution. We won against some of the better known names. Unlike some other trade show awards, we felt that the peer evaluation process was one of the differentiator for CODiE- It was unbiased and peer expert/industry validation is a big deal.
G-Cube Solutions
One the most professionally organized awards that I have ever experienced. Right from the entry acceptance to award declaration, everything was executed with perfection. Every possible help was given with complete flexibility. We wish to participate in these PRESTIGIOUS awards every time.
GlobalEnglish Corporation
My experience submitting to several SIIA CODiE Award categories for GlobalEnglish this year was great. The submission guidelines and requirements were communicated very well and in a timely manner. Judges were professional and adhered strictly to the outlined process. We've submitted for several years gaining insight from questions and suggestions from Judges each year. Angel Scott deserves special thanks for her quick and helpful response to questions, and our CEO gave positive feedback on the event. Karen Billings and her team produced a top-notch awards program and ceremony.
Informatica Cloud
What does the award mean to your company? Being recognized by industry peers as best in class is both an honor and validation that our continued focus on delivering a powerful, yet easy to use cloud integration service (Informatica Cloud) is the right strategy.
How was the overall CODiE experience? We appreciated being nominated in multiple categories and enjoyed having the opportunity to demonstrate Informatica Cloud to a panel of judges from the industry. We also appreciate the fact that our acceptance of the award was recorded and is available for viewing internally and externally.
What was a highlight of the experience? Receiving the award of course and now being able to display it prominently on our website and in our lobby.
LexisNexis
As Product Marketing Manager for LexisNexis Web Visibility Solutions, I manage industry awards submissions for my unit’s products. As such, I have extensive experience working with the awards administrators at many different organizations. In my opinion, the administrative staff for the 2011 Software & Information Industry Association’s CODiE Awards was by far head and shoulders above all other competitions we participated in last year.
The evaluation process is quite thorough, with an intuitive online submission tool that is easy to use. I felt the format of a live demonstration for the judges ensured the integrity of the assessment. I often wonder why more awards do not require actual live demonstrations, instead of relying on written submissions. I was also impressed by the caliber of the judges, who clearly understood the current trends and innovations in the legal industry today.
Preparing a nomination for any industry award can be a complex, often frustrating process. From the online materials and submission tool, to the pre-submission informational webinar and nomination process support, to the regular updates, the CODiE team made it possible for my team to focus on the quality of our submission and not get tripped up with the process. I confidently say that the CODiE team’s level of professionalism facilitated a much more robust competition.
As we invested substantial time, energy and resources to submit nominations to the CODiE awards, it was comforting to know that the Software & Information Industry Association established an effective organization for managing the processing of nominations.
McGraw-Hill Learning Solutions
Throughout each part of the award process, the SIIA organization was extremely responsive and accommodating, so that the entire process was seamless for our team. When the nomination, judging and evaluation process was complete and we were honored with the “Best Postsecondary Enterprise Solution” Award for Tegrity Campus, our team was honored to accept because we experienced first-hand how the SIIA and its participating judges were diligent and thorough in recognizing only the leading solutions that stand out in their market. We are committed to delivering a product suite that drives teaching effectiveness and student performance. We are honored to be recognized with a prestigious award from the SIIA, our peers and the judges, who work on a daily basis with technology suited for educators. We want to thank the SIIA CODiE Awards for allowing us to be a part of this distinguished group of award winners and we look forward to future awards!
Nimble
Our team had a great time participating in the CODiE awards this year and it was an honor to participate in such a prestigious award ceremony.
— Rachel Miller, Engagement Manager
Netuitive
We were extremely happy to learn about winning the CODiE for Best Systems Management Solution – for the third year in a row! We wondered if winning in the past might hurt our chances (like the awards given out at some trade shows from sponsors who want to “share the wealth” in passing out awards). But given that the judges are different every year, and there is a different mix of other vendors, it turns out it really didn’t matter. We just had to make sure we told our compelling story and gave a great demo to explain to the judges what we do that is unique and valuable for the industry.
This year it seemed there were a lot of contestants and we entered two categories, so it was quite hectic (two sets of demos instead of one). Nevertheless, the coordination challenges were well managed by SIIA despite having to move a few dates.
For me the new highlight came when we decide to register and send one of our key Board members to the awards luncheon. We sort of told him what to expect, but when he got there and saw all the different vendors, CEOs, etc. he realized this was a pretty big deal. And when we won, well all I can say is the same day we had told our board we just landed a big customer, but all our Board member could think about was that we won and how excited and happy he was to pick up the award and say a few words. Interestingly enough, this was a first for him in terms of the portfolio of companies he works with. So we scored some points with him as well! In any case, thanks to SIIA again for coordinating the CODiEs. We value this more because it comes from an organization of peers and because we know there is a lot more work behind this than the “quick and dirty” evals that go on at trade shows.
Pervasive Integration Products
We were delighted that Pervasive Data Integrator won CODiE award recognition in the 2012 Best Integration category. We found the process to be thoughtful and deliberative, from the initial nomination form through selection of judges and subsequent demos and discussions with the judges. The CODiE award has helped us communicate Pervasive’s competitive strengths in the integration arena to prospective partners and customers.
Pitchbook
As the winner of the Best Financial/Market Data Information Services for two consecutive years, PitchBook sees the CODiE Awards as a validation of the years of hard work and dedication that have gone into building a world-class database and platform. We appreciate the rigorous review process and impartial judgments made by industry professionals and SIIA members in determining the winners. Participating in the CODiE Awards has provided the PitchBook team with invaluable insights for improvement and pushed us to continually enhance the technology and design of our product.

Rethink Autism recognizes the tremendous challenges faced by families, school districts and organizations serving children on the autism spectrum. In developing the Rethink Autism platform, we wanted to make clinical best practice tools accessible, affordable and easy to use for anyone, anywhere in the world. Winning a CODiE Award in two consecutive years is truly an honor and a validation of the impact we have had on the thousands of users in schools, organizations, universities and homes in all 50 states, as well as 27 countries around the world.
RM Education
We are honored to have RM Podium recognized by our peers and other industry leaders in this prestigious competition. We understand how important it is to create tools that allow students to demonstrate learning and be engaged in project-based learning and is such a privilege to have RM Podium recognized as such by others in the education technology industry.
SafeNet, Inc.
Being nominated as one of the finalists for the Best DRM Solution multiple times is a significant high point on its own, but winning the award for the second time around – a truly exhilarating experience.
While submitting our latest product to the 2012 award, we had high hopes in winning but also knew we will be faced with fierce competition. The initial tension level, prior to every live DEMO or judging, has quickly given way to ever growing confidence levels knowing that our product delivers a truly unique offering.
Having submitted an application in the past, everything was pretty straightforward this time around. We were provided with exact timelines giving us ample time to submit and prepare ourselves for the actual judging sessions. The live product demos were extremely professional providing a truly open dialogue for questions, feedback, and general insight on the various product features and capabilities.
Our goal at SafeNet has always been to provide users with a high-quality, easy-to-use licensing and entitlement management system. Sentinel® Cloud leverages SafeNet’s nearly 30 years of software monetization experience to the cloud.
ShopVisible
ShopVisible is thrilled to have won the CODiE award for Best Electronic Commerce Solution. Not only is the peer recognition humbling, the affirmation of our rapid innovation philosophy was a true point of validation for our organization. We were very impressed with the caliber of the judges in our category. Their diverse professional backgrounds lent themselves well to engaged conversations and truly interactive demonstrations. It was evident to us that the SIIA CODiE staff went to great lengths and diligence to fill their judging pool with savvy and knowledgeable talent.
In addition, the SIIA CODiE team made the process seamless. They were always on their A game as far as communications and follow up, keeping us up to date and informed on the information we needed to complete the process successfully.
The positive ripples from our win continue to make a positive impact on our business. The SIIA CODiE name and logo are highly recognizable and our win is often brought up by prospects during initial conversations.
SoftChalk
"And the winner is...SoftChalk" - as we heard our name announced at the CODiE awards ceremony, we felt excited, proud and awed by the recognition of our peers. SoftChalk has been fortunate to win 'Best Postsecondary Instructional Solution' and 'Best Education Technology Solution for Productivity/Creativity' for the past two years.
When we entered the competition, we were hopeful that we might win, but we knew there would be many worthy competitors. Like all busy companies, we were uncertain whether the time commitment to complete the award process would be a worthwhile investment. But the prestige of the CODiE award convinced us to apply.
Submitting the initial application was straightforward. The CODiE staff did a great job answering questions and guiding us through the process. During the judging, we conducted online demonstrations of SoftChalk and encouraged the judges to download our 30-day free trial. The time commitment was small in comparison to the benefits. In addition to the honor of the awards, we benefited from the judges' insightful feedback on our product. We also feel the CODiE process promoted the exposure of SoftChalk.
Our goal at SoftChalk has always been to provide users with a high-quality, easy -to-use content authoring solution. It is a privilege to be honored by others in the education technology industry. We look forward to next year's competition.
Transparensee Systems
The team at Transparensee Systems found the CODiE experience to be thoughtful and well organized with clear communications. The information provided, especially the webinar, gave great tips, suggestions and recommendations on how best to approach the process. Our judges were knowledgeable and thoughtful – they asked great questions and showed great interest.
— Steve Lavine, CEO at Transparensee Systems
Wowzers
Reed Howard:
Three years ago our company joined SIIA. We had developed an on-line product that included game-based cognitive skill games. After attending SIIA and learning more about the education technology industry we changed our focus to created a comprehensive on line core math curriculum that replaces text books, assessments, and professional development. SIIA was very instrumental in providing new information about the industry that lead us in this direction.
After our Wowzers adaptive , core math program was successful in the industry we went through the nomination process for a CODiE Award. We found the process easy to follow and enjoyed sharing our product with the judges who were eager to learn about Wowzers. The awards ceremony was very well done and paced so that attendees could enjoy dinner while recognizing individuals in the industry for their achievement. Wowzers was nominated for Best Classroom Management System that includes a teacher dashboard where the teacher monitors each student's progress at a glance and has a number of tools for the teacher to use. We were very excited to win this CODiE Award, and then at the end of the evening when we won for the Best K-12 Education Solution we were very honored!
Andrew Howard:
The CODiE awards allowed a small startup like Wowzers to get exposure on a national level. We are seeing benefits in our marketing and sales efforts from having the 'CODiE' seal of approval. Having products judged by independent educators allowed the focus to be on the product and the solutions it provides to students and educators, which allowed us to compete with bigger companies in ways that would have otherwise been impossible.
Xactly Corporation
On behalf of the Xactly team, I would like to thank the SIIA for hosting another wonderful year of the CODiE Awards. It is an award that celebrates innovation in the software industry and is held at the highest standard because it is judged by our peers in the industry – executives, who are involved in business decision-making, and key media, who report daily on business trends. Overall, the award process was seamless, as the event coordinators and judges were professional and easy to communicate with. In addition, the award ceremony at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco was very enjoyable and felt like the Academy Awards for enterprise software. We look forward to participating next year.
Zeus Technology
Receiving an award of this caliber recognizes the work Zeus has done to bring application delivery to the next stage of innovation alongside advancements in IT environments, like cloud computing. The fact that our product was named the Best Cloud Infrastructure Application is a true testament to the dedication and technological progress of the team here at Zeus.
How was the overall CODiE experience? We thoroughly enjoyed networking with the other companies at this year’s event. We felt that the atmosphere of camaraderie among contestants proved to be a clear indication of the high quality of organizations included in the CODiE awards. Additionally, the SIIA employees’ professionalism and constant eagerness to answer contestants’ questions made the application process and awards luncheon very enjoyable.
What was a highlight of the experience? The highlight of this experience was being counted among the many top industry leaders, and being named the Best Cloud Infrastructure Application on the market.
ZUVINOVA
A two-time previous CODiE Award finalist, Transactional Track Record (TTR) was recognized in 2013 for the continued success and growth of its multi-criteria search engine platform and its innovation in Web services. The SIIA CODiE Awards are undoubtedly one of the most prestigious and well-structured awards we had the pleasure to participate in recent years. Congratulations to the entire CODiE Awards team who have been awarding excellence through a rigorous and independent review process with high caliber judges.
