IBM has adopted the WAND Inc. product and service
classification system as a front-end tool for their UDDI registry for Web
Services. "WAND has a similar objective as UDDI in attempting to provide
an overall, standardized means of facilitating identification, communication
and trade for companies on a global basis", says Ross Leher,
Chairman and CEO of WAND, Inc. IBM and WAND have been working together to
support WANDs taxonomy into IBM's UDDI registry. This
collaboration will help business to accurately manage their classification of
