Making Innovation a Reality

January 9, 2008
An SIIA Webcast

What can a business gain by partnerships with researchers? How can scholars aid in the many steps of evolving an innovative, effective, scalable product? This 45 minute webcast will begin our Innovations Webcast Series and our exploration of how to make innovation a reality.

Prof. Chris Dede of Harvard University's Technology, Innovation, and Education Program is now leading the River City Project, an NSF-funded computer simulation promoting scientific inquiry and 21st century skills. He will discuss his experiences in developing a research-based curriculum, studying the effectiveness of new methods for teaching/learning, and implementing innovations in a wide variety of school settings.
