Since the mid-1990s, the SIIA Ed Tech Government Forum (previously the DC Fly-In) has been the preeminent Washington, DC technology and publishing event. The Ed Tech Government Forum offers an excellent opportunity to meet with national education leaders and translate federal funding and regulations into actionable market intelligence! Join your fellow senior executives from the leading publishers and developers of educational software, online curriculum, and educational technologies.

History

This SIIA conference originated as a one-day event for SIIA Education Division members to lobby the U.S. Congress and Administration to support education technology programs and funding. In recent years, the event has grown to include a full schedule of sessions aimed at providing a personal, hands-on forum to assist SIIA members in translating federal funding, initiatives, programs and regulations into actionable market intelligence.

Most industry executives attend the Forum to better understand the impact of federal programs and policies on their market, customers and business. Second is the opportunity to meet with policy makers (e.g., from the U.S. Congress and U.S. Department of Education), education leaders (i.e., from various educator associations and other national education organizations), and education policy influencers.
