Dr. Linda Darling-Hammond, Professor of Education and Co-Director School Redesign Network, Stanford University

Darling-Hammond will outline her views for educational improvement and classroom innovation, compare those with the calls for education reform she encountered on the national campaign trail and in local education debates, and outline the steps needed to forge common ideas for redesigning our educational system to meet the needs of all students in today’s digital world. She will also preview her newest book, The Flat World and Education: How America’s Commitment to Equity Will Determine Our Future (June, 2009).
