3. Journals

Journals are typically scholarly publications, whether written and edited by academics or by association staff. They report original research and include citations for sources. Many are peer reviewed in whole or in part.

Newsletters generally consist of short articles on issues, events and people important to the association’s audience. They typically have fewer pages than magazines and smaller pages than a newspaper.

Best overall design, functionality and clarity of an electronic book. Communicates message effectively and functions intuitively. Submit URL or instructions for reading online.

7. Promotional Content

Sales and marketing materials, including message and branding campaigns and content marketing take many forms, from print or electronic to a combination of the two.

7.N. Rebranding - NEW

Rebranding is a marketing strategy in which a new name, term, symbol, design, or combination thereof is created for an established brand with the intention of developing a new, differentiated identity in the minds of consumers, investors, competitors, and other stakeholders. Submit minimum of 3 samples of pre-rebrand (print mail-in or electronic upload). Required PDF of Style Guide, required PDF statement describing the objectives of the project. The statement should be approached as a case study with metrics.

7.O. Infographics - NEW

One example of an infographic that clearly and concisely present information, processes or data consistent with the subject matter, target industry and voice of the publication. The example provided within a submission may stand together as a series or package or as discrete examples reflecting an overall competency. They may also have been published as enhancements to other content. Entries may include print or digital examples (including static or interactive graphics). The examples should provide compelling content whose communication is enhanced by use of the form. Judges will consider the value and relevance of the information provided, the use of the medium, and how one supports the other. Entries should explain the context in which the work was originally delivered and how any public data of third-party data was utilized. Upload 1 PDF.

7.P. Awareness Campaign - NEW

A campaign educating intended audience and boosting public awareness about an organization's cause or issue. Required upload of logo, branding, collateral (print, digital, video), metrics.

7.Q. Pro-bono - NEW

Professional work undertaken voluntarily and without payment for an association, non-profit client. Please mail-in or upload all aspect of your pro bono work. This work can be in any of the categories. This category is free to enter, after you entered in at least 1 paid category. Limit 1 entry per company.
