Tom Davin is Managing Director, Financial Information Services Division (FISD) for the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). FISD is the global, neutral forum for the financial information industry with a diverse membership that includes major market data vendors, exchanges, technology providers, and the financial institutions that utilize financial data products. Tom works closely with FISD members to identify major issues and seek opportunities to bring the financial information industry together to discuss and resolve those issues. FISD conducts regular membership events in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia and hosts the biennial World Financial Information Conference – the premiere global industry conference for financial information professionals.

Azhar Muhammad-Saul leads Bloomberg’s Enterprise Content and Distribution (ECD) business in Asia, with a focus on data distribution and technical solutions. Based in Singapore, Mr Muhammad-Saul advises banks and corporations on strategies for a more efficient enterprise workflow. Bloomberg's ECD solutions deliver a suite of products and services that enables clients to seamlessly and transparently manage their technology infrastructure from the end user through to the back office.

During his 13 years at Bloomberg, Mr. Muhammad-Saul held various leadership positions in Europe and Asia. As head of Enterprise Solutions sales for London, Mr Muhammad-Saul was part of defining the Bloomberg Value Solutions (BVS) initiative, a consultancy service which helps customers be more productive on the Bloomberg platform. Most recently, he was Head of ASEAN sales for the Bloomberg Professional service where he led the development of a price discovery platform for structured products.

Prior to joining Bloomberg, Mr Muhammad-Saul was an investment advisor and partner at J. Rothschild Partners.

Business Manager - Reference Data, Interactive Data Corporation

Madalene Soon is business manager, reference data, Interactive Data (Asia Pacific). Based in Singapore, Ms Soon is focused on the reference data market and product development strategy for the Asia Pacific region.

Ms Soon joined Interactive Data in 2010. Prior to this Ms Soon worked at Thomson Reuters both in New York and Singapore where she spent over 12 years in various reference data related roles. Most recently Madalene was the Enterprise Product & Content Manager for Thomson Reuters’ Pricing and Reference Data business in Asia Pacific. In this role she was responsible for the conversion of key clients into strategic partners by building up long term relationships and identifying market and/or up-sell opportunities. Additionally she played a pivotal role in bringing new reference data offerings, such as intraday corporate actions into the market place by providing product management from an Asia Pacific Pricing and Reference Data perspective.

 

William Tan

SUMMARY
William Tan joined Asset Control in August 2011 and has more than 20 years of financial software services experience, mainly focusing from front, middle and back office system implementations to business process re-engineering and pre-sales consulting across Asia.

Prior to joining Asset Control, Mr. Tan has also held regional roles in Eagle Investment Systems, Thomson Reuters PORTIA, Standard Chartered Bank and Schroders covering regional roles for all companies.

KEY SKILLS
Mr. Tan’s skills set covers both soft and hard skills including problem solving, mentoring, consultative selling, project management & implementation, best practices, operational efficiency, workflow analysis, training, etc. Business knowledge includes financial markets knowledge, compliance knowledge, straight through processing knowledge, strong knowledge of the front office, middle office and back office operations of the fund/investment management industry, the insurance industry, private banking business, treasury business and stock broking business.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Mr. Tan is currently the Pre-Sales Consultant in Asset Control covering Asia and supporting the Asset Control’s Enterprise Data Management Platform.

Mr. Tan has a Bachelor of Business Computing degree (Honours) from The City University, London, UK.

 

Laurence Thiery

Managing Director, Head of Strategy and Content APAC, NYSE Technologies

Laurence Thiery joined NYSE Technologies in 2008 and is the Head of Strategy and Content for Asia Pacific. In her role, Laurence is responsible for the content business in the region. It includes overseeing NYSE Euronext’ proprietary market data, and NYSE Technologies market data technology offerings. She also works on strategic initiatives for NYSE Technologies within the region.

Laurence has over 15 years of experience in both the finance and telecommunications industry, and has published numerous articles on trends in trading and technologies in key industry publications.

Prior to joining NYSE Technologies Laurence worked in the US and Europe, for KPMG Consulting in the Technology Financial Industry division.
Laurence has an Executive MBA degree from INSEAD
