Julian Chesser

Regional MD, MarkitServ

Julian is Country Head for Markit Singapore and Head of MarkitServ for the Asia region. Prior to joining Markit in March 2012, for 7 years Julian was COO for the Fixed Income Investment business at Fidelity Worldwide Investment.

In 2003 Julian joined Fidelity to program manage their listed and OTC derivatives build-out across interest rate, credit, equity and FX. Before joining Fidelity Julian was Co-Head of Fixed Income Operations at JP Morgan Investment Bank, spending time in London, Milan and New York.

 

Seana Chun

Senior Solutions Consultant, SunGard Capital Markets

Seana Chun is a Senior Solutions Consultant with the Capital Markets Group of SunGard Asia Pacific. Based in Hong Kong, Seana specializes in Risk Management for financial institutions. Seana has helped leading Asian banks achieve supervisory approval for use of internal models under the Basel II framework, as well as implement other Basel requirements and industry best practices in the areas of credit risk, market risk and collateral management.

Seana has more than 15 years of international experience in the financial industry with stints in Asia, the U.S. and South America. Ms. Chun joined SunGard in 2009. Her previous roles include Credit Advisory, Credit Risk Officer and Global Equities Analyst at major consulting firms, Tier 1 bank and hedge fund, respectively.

Seana holds an M.B.A. from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University specializing in Finance and International Business. She also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Management and Economics, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies from Carnegie Mellon University, graduating with highest honors.

 

Collette Duffy

Product Manager - Market Data Technology, NYSE Technology

Colette Duffy is the Product Manager for Marketdata Technology at NYSE Technologies, the commercial technology unit of NYSE Euronext. Colette is responsible for the portfolio of high performance feed handler, mid-tier and messaging products.
Prior to joining NYSE Technologies, Colette held a number or roles in the Financial Services industry, including positions at Fidelity Investments and Chatham Financial. As part of the Market Data Infrastructure team at Fidelity Investments she designing and deploying their high performance market data platform. At Chatham financial she was responsible for sourcing the data for and building the market data infrastructure for their pricing and analytical models.

Colette has a Bachelor’s Degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a double major in Electronic and Computer Engineering.

Philip Enness

Philip Enness

Global Solutions Manager, Banking and Financial Markets , IBM Singapore PTE Ltd

Philip has extensive Financial Markets knowledge, gained in a 30-year career in the industry. Philip is currently a key member of the Financial Markets global Industry solutions team at IBM where he has been focusing on the real time and reference data arenas. Philip has worked for IBM in EMEA, North America, Asia Pacific, and China. His experience has been gained in IBM and Logica across a range of roles combined with a 17 year Investment Banking career with Midland Bank (Midland Montagu) and Nikko Europe (Nikko Gilts) where Philip held senior positions in both organizations as Assistant Director and Associate Director respectively. He is also a regular contributor to IBM’s strategic thinking on its Financial Market strategy.

Jeremy Green

Jeremy Green

IPUG Asia and Global Head, Market Data, Standard Chartered Bank

Globally responsible for Market Data Services and low latency infrastructure at Standard Chartered Bank, Jeremy has 15 years of experience managing and engineering market data and order execution infrastructure. Current projects include delivering “Market Data as a Service”: an innovative approach to market data operations and associated costs transforming global management expenses into direct, on-demand pricing; “Data unbundling”, the uncoupling of data components from consolidated data vendors and efficient infrastructure re-engineering .

Previous roles have included Information Security audit, six years as a market data engineering Lead with Goldman Sachs Japan, regional market data management with Lehman Brothers Japan, Head of Prime Services and Electronic Trading infrastructure for Mizuho Securities, Japan.

 

Stuart Gurr

Head of Global Trading Technology, Asia Pacific , Royal Bank of Scotland Group

Stuart is currently the Asia Pacific Head of Global Trading Technology for RBS. His team's responsibilities include the full spectrum of investment banking related infrastructure technologies, comprising electronic trading, market data, eCommerce, grid computing and execution/market connectivity services. The division's product coverage is cross asset-class and extends from front through to back office operations, from client research through to settlement and confirmation. Stuart has previously worked at JP Morgan in various capacities and prior to that spent many years travelling the world with PwC and Accenture advising Financial Services firms on internet-based wealth management and dealing propositions. Originally from the UK, Stuart graduated from university with entirely unfulfilled specialism's in predictive speech algorithms and microprocessor design.

 

Vadim Kosin

Vadim Kosin is a Principal with Oliver Wyman based in Singapore. He is a part of Strategic IT and Operations practice in Asia-Pacific.

Vadim joined Oliver Wyman from American Express where he served first as Global Head of Outsourcing and then as a Global Business Transformation Director leading numerous global initiatives to define and implement robust right sourcing process change, re-engineering, cost reduction and revenue enhancement strategies across all lines of business –Operations, Technology, Finance, Consumer and Corporate Cards, Travel Services and more.

Areas of expertise and recent project engagements:

Led the detailed design of the target Operating model for the Consumer Finance of the Asian Super Regional Bank

Led global transformation initiatives to define and implement the optimal configuration of different operation/back offices processes for delivering an extraordinary service a leading credit card company’s customers at the right price – developing the right mix of proprietary, on-shore and off shore solutions

Led an analysis of End to End processes to identify cost reduction/globalization opportunities for a number of operation/back office processes – Procurement Operations, Reporting and Analytics, Call centers, New Accounts, IT and more

Led a program to transform the way IT function’s services (applications developments and support and enhancements) are being sourced – shifting the engagement model with global preferred partners from time and material to a robust pay for performance outcome based model
Previous experience and academic background

Prior to American Express, Vadim worked as a Financial Services consultant in Israel and served as SVP in Business Management Office of DBS bank in Singapore. His expertise spans across business/back office strategy, process re-engineering, change management, business transformation, procurement, outsourcing and more

Vadim received an MBA from INSEAD, focusing on Strategy. He received a B.A. from Technion in Israel, majoring in Economics and Management

Head Of South-East Asia Sales, Bloomberg L.P.

Azhar Muhammad-Saul leads the Asia Pacific team for Bloomberg’s Enterprise Products & Services (EPS) business. Based in Singapore, Mr Muhammad-Saul has nurtured Bloomberg's relationship with industry thought-leaders and client organizations to foster a user community that shares insights, requirements and best practices with EPS leadership, product managers and the network at large.
During his 12 years at Bloomberg, Mr. Muhammad-Saul held various leadership positions in Europe and Asia. As head of EPS sales for London, Mr Muhammad-Saul was part of defining the Bloomberg Value Solutions(BVS) initiative, a consultancy service which helps customers be more productive on the Bloomberg platform. Most recently, he was Head of ASEAN sales for the Bloomberg Professional service where he led the development of a price discovery platform for structured products. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Mr Muhammad-Saul was an investment advisor and partner at J. Rothschild Partners.

David has 25 years + experience in Sales and Marketing to buy and sell side dealing rooms throughout Asia.

Previous roles have included Head of Sales for e-Commerce products such as tpMatch for FRA/SPS matching and product management of the FXOptions platform at Tullett Prebon.

Previously David spent 14 years with T-Reuters in various roles in key Account management and sales Training in Australia, Japan and Singapore.
