About the Test
FISD has designed and implemented the test so that it provides a rigorous
assessment of a candidate’s level of knowledge with respect to the defined
Syllabus.

How the Test Works
The
formal test that is required for achievement of the Financial
Information Associate certification must be taken at an official FISD
test center. These test centers are provided through Kryterion, the
online test facilitator we have engaged to operate our tests. Test
centers are located in
convenient locations in most major cities globally.
Candidates can register online and pay to take the test which will be
booked at one of the global test centers. This is very similar to
booking a hotel room on line – candidates pick the location and then the
date and time they wish.
Please could all test takers make special note of two things – Firstly,
please keep a careful record of your login user name and password as you
will need these in the future to amend any of your details, and/or to
book new exams etc. Secondly, if anyone wishes to cancel or reschedule a
test they have booked they must do so by logging in to the test system
(hence a need to remember login details) and any cancellation or
rescheduling must be done at least 72 hours before the booked test.
Candidates will then be required to physically attend the test center at
the time they have booked whereupon they will be subject to oversight by
test center personnel. The test will be comprised of an online multiple
choice examination candidates will be allowed up to 3 hours to answer
the 150 questions.
Candidates must take at least two items of photo ID at least one must be
an official government ID e.g. Passport or Drivers licence.
How Secure is the Test? FISD made the very deliberate decision to
require candidates to test at a physical test center where they will be
closely monitored as they take the test. This security is vital for two
purposes.
- Identity verification – to check the candidate who is
actually taking the test is who they say they are and not an imposter
paid to take the test on their behalf.
- Prevent cheating – to ensure that candidates do not cheat by either asking others for assistance or by accessing unauthorized materials e.g. the internet.
