The Peter Jackson Award
The SIIA Content Division Board has developed an award to honor the memory of Peter Jackson, Ph.D., who had a profound impact on the B2B publishing industry.
Dr. Jackson (1948 - 2011) was Thomson Reuters chief scientist and vice president of research and development. Peter Jackson was very involved in the SIIA, serving on the Content Division Board and participating in many SIIA-driven initiatives and activities. He had an important and meaningful effect on those who worked with him. He was thoughtful, generous with his time, and genuinely interested in the thoughts and ideas of others. He was also a critical thinker, and constantly pushed for innovation. He also extremely giving to his community.
The Peter Jackson Award recognizes individuals who, like Peter, have been innovators in the information industry and who are generous and inspirational to the people and community around them.
The award recipient will be announced during the CODiE Award Luncheon at IIS 2014.
