Overview
Open Access publishing is a dominant topic in the world of scientific research. Whether you are an advocate of the movement, a critic, or somewhere in between, Open Access publishing is here to stay. With government policy-makers and private funding agencies in the US, UK and Europe mandating greater public access to published scientific research, OA is a topic that needs paid attention to.
During this discussion, two experts will:
- Provide an overview of Open Access and current trends
- Talk about what publishers are doing to facilitate the demand for free access to publicly funded content and discuss the challenges and ultimate benefits of enabling public access to scientific research from the publishers point of view.
- Discuss how to develop or refine your Open Access strategy by looking at the five key factors to consider when publishing in an OA world.
