Describe your segment of the industry and where do you see your company positioned in this segment.

Spectrum K12 School Solutions Inc. is the leading provider of Response to Intervention (RTI) and special education IEP software serving 11% of the U.S. K-12 student population including 20 of the top 100 school districts in the United States. Our patented software is a dynamic student achievement management system that has enabled personalized learning for over 5 million children in 29 states in support of our mission to close the achievement gap and Move Every Child ForwardTM.

What is the biggest challenge to your segment of the industry in 2009?

Many districts have yet to meet adequate yearly progress (AYP) goals as laid out by NCLB. In many cases, districts have had difficulty meeting adequate yearly progress goals mandated by NCLB due to an achievement gap with at-risk and special education students. Districts have begun Response to Intervention (RTI) initiatives to narrow the achievement gap for at-risk students. Educators have very little time.
