FISD Event Descriptions
General Meeting: Held quarterly in North America and Europe to update members on the status of FISD activities, provide an opportunity for member companies to report on new initiatives and allow the FISD Consumer, Exchange & Vendor Constituency groups to discuss issues of importance. A Networking Reception follows the meeting. Meetings are offered to members at no charge.
Issue Brief: 90 minute program for issue based discussion followed by a networking reception. Meetings are offered to members at no charge.
Local Meeting: Half-day program for the local financial information industry. Program includes updates on FISD initiatives and briefing from members. FISD members from around the globe are encouraged to coordinate their business travel around these local programs. The program is followed by a networking reception. Meetings are offered to members at no charge.
Index Forum: The Index Forum is a venue in which FISD members can address the broad range of issues related to the sponsorship of indices, and the creation, distribution, and usage of index data. Participation in most Index Forum activities is open to any FISD member. Index Forum activities include educational presentations, interactive panel discussions, workshops, and opportunities for members to share developments and viewpoints from their organization with the other interested parties.
Real-time Technology Roundtable: The Real-time Technology Roundtable offers a platform for discussion and educational sessions covering topics such as latency, co-location and proximity hosting, hardware/software innovations, and the overall shift towards a more programmatic/algorithmic approach to both data delivery and order management/entry.
Asia-Pacific Financial Information Conference (APFIC): Biennial two-day program hosted in conjunction with Inside Market Data featuring presentations and panels on financial information trends and issues.
World Financial Information Conference (WFIC): Hosted biennially, WFIC is the only global conference focused exclusively on the issues associated with the dissemination, management and use of financial information. Two and a half days of educational sessions, meals and off-site networking events allow attendees to interact in a neutral environment to develop better communication with the major players in the market data industry. Sessions include a combination of keynotes, panel discussions, case studies and interactive presentations featuring cutting edge topics and issues.
