The free and open FIX Protocol messaging standard has become the language of the world’s financial markets, achieving mass adoption as Buy and Sell-side firms, Exchanges/ECNs and vendors around the globe have benefitted from significant cost savings and efficiency gains. Over recent years FPL has witnessed increased interest from regulators in different markets globally, including ASIC’s recent adoption of FIX for the reporting of short positions. This session will explore the many benefits that using the FIX Protocol offers to the regulatory community.
