What's new in the world of Audits and Market Data Compliance?
This panel will explore this sometimes vexing, but ever important subject, with a special emphasis on where we find ourselves at the end of 2010. It will cover the separate aims and objectives of actors involved during an audit: consumers, exchanges, vendors and third parties. Is there a level playing field for audit settlements or is everything negotiable depending on other variables? Are the frequency and size of settlements increasing and if so why, and is there a better way to manage this process? Is there a trend building for Index Vendors and Exchanges to contract directly with consumer firms and how will this impact the audit function?

Exploring best practices for Evaluated Pricing within the broader context of Valuations
This panel will probe the way ‘Evaluated Pricing' is generated, but will focus much more on how it is assessed and used within the broader context of asset management. The panel will help to shine a light on this occasionally esoteric topic by discussing current best practices for the operational use of this type of data and the lessons learnt through the tumultuous times of the credit crisis just passed. The panel will reveal some of the nuts and bolts of how this sector of the data industry works and will offer insight to those who are expert in this field and at the same time useful education to those less familiar with it.
