The Index Forum is a venue in which FISD members can address the broad range of issues related to the sponsorship of indices, and the creation, distribution, and usage of index data.

Panel: Emerging Markets and Indices
Interest in emerging markets and developing nations is heating up and this is reflected in the trading activity in the indices and ETFs connected to these areas. This panel will address many aspects of this topic including the action in specific countries and geographical areas, and the criteria used to distinguish emerging and developed markets. The panel will explore the relationships between index and ETF sponsors and the local exchanges that control the underlying data and how these relationships compare with similar relationships in more established markets.
