SIIA Webcast: New Digital Content Opportunities from Transformed Texas Adoption Law

SB.6 recently became law in Texas, significantly advancing the march from print to digital. The new law goes into effect immediately. Among the sweeping changes to the longstanding Texas adoption system, the law would significantly increase local district choice in using state instructional materials funds for a wide range of resources, including both state board adopted materials but also materials identified locally. While the new law terminates the $30 per student Technology Allotment, it would also provide flexibility in using some state funds for technology devices needed to access the instructional materials.
