Panel Session: Dealing with Evolving Valuation Regulations in the Marketplace
The evaluation of financial assets remains a pre-eminent theme throughout the financial community. Whereas implementation of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) is stabilizing in the United States, International Accounting Standard Board (IASB) requirements are being enhanced and the implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards 9 (IFRS 9), scheduled to begin July 1, 2011 may present financial institutions in Canada with new challenges and hurdles.
Come hear industry leading professionals discuss their experiences with emerging accounting standards. How have vendor processes changed? Are clients placing additional demands on the vendors? What does the future look like? Will valuation best practices or standards emerge?
