PANEL: "Horses for Courses" - Choosing a Real Time Datafeed and the technology that underpins it. - "Managing the lifeblood of Real Time Technology"
Data is at the heart of the real time technology debate. How that data is delivered in real time has evolved significantly. It is not a case of one size fits all but much more about horses for courses. Consumer firms come in a myriad of shapes and sizes and many larger firms have very diverse activities and needs; even within themselves. Hence the rich spectrum of datafeed solutions on offer - but with that very richness comes technical complexity. We will explore the diversity of offerings from ultra-low latency direct feeds, through large scale aggregated feeds and solutions tailored to more constrained budgets. What are the considerations, what are the opportunities and what are the perils and pitfalls?
