Matthew GlotzbachMatthew Glotzbach
Product Management Director, Google Enterprise

Matthew is responsible for the development, management, and marketing of the Google Enterprise product lines. He brings 10 years of enterprise product management, marketing and sales experience to the team, specializing in the business and technology needs of enterprise customers. Prior to joining Google, Matthew was a senior member of the management team for the Computer Industry Business Unit at Trilogy, an enterprise software company based in Austin, TX. He was involved with the creation of Trilogy's product direction and acted as the lead product manager on a number of Trilogy's industry solutions. Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree from Cornell University.



John HagelJohn Hagel
Co-Chairman, Deloitte Center for Edge Innovation, Deloitte Consulting LLP

John Hagel III is co-chairman of the Deloitte Center for Edge Innovation, which conducts original research and develops substantive points of view for new corporate growth. As co-chairman, John oversees the development of the Center's research agenda and also represents Deloitte with top-tier clients and media. John has nearly 30 years' experience as a management consultant, author, speaker, and entrepreneur and has helped companies improve their performance by effectively applying information technology to reshape business strategies.

Before joining Deloitte, John was an independent consultant and writer. Prior to that, he held significant positions at leading consulting firms and public and private companies. From 1984 to 2000, he was a principal at McKinsey & Co., where he was a leader of the Strategy Practice. In addition, he founded and led McKinsey's Electronic Commerce Practice from 1993 to 2000. He has also served as chief strategy officer of 12 Entrepreneuring, Inc. and senior vice president of strategic planning at Atari, Inc. Earlier in his career, he was a consultant at Boston Consulting Group and founded Sequoia Group, Inc., a systems house that sold turnkey computer systems to physicians.

John is the author of a series of best-selling business books, beginning with Net Gain, published in 1997, and including Net Worth, Out of the Box and The Only Sustainable Edge. He has won two awards from Harvard Business Review for best articles in that publication and has been recognized as an industry thought leader by a variety of publications and professional service firms.

John holds a BA from Wesleyan University, a B.Phil. from Oxford University, and a JD and MBA from Harvard University.



George HuGeorge Hu
EVP, Marketing, Applications & Education, salesforce.com

As executive VP, marketing, applications, and education at salesforce.com, George Hu leads the global marketing organization, which includes corporate marketing, product marketing, and product management. He is responsible for the company's messaging and applications product strategy, and is a member of the company's executive committee reporting directly to salesforce.com Chairman & CEO Marc Benioff. Hu joined salesforce.com in 2002 and has served in a variety of management roles including VP of product marketing, SVP of applications, and chief marketing officer. In these capacities he has led the broadening of the company's product portfolio into customer service and support and partner relationship management, launched breakthrough new products including salesforce.com's Unlimited Edition, and driven the creation of innovative new concepts such as Successforce.com and the IdeaExchange. Prior to joining salesforce.com, Hu held product management and strategic consulting roles at North Point Communications and Boston Consulting Group. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Harvard College and a Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.



Clay ShirkyClay Shirky
Author, Educator & Consultant on Social and Economic Effects of Internet Technologies

Clay Shirky is a writer, educator, and consultant on the social and economic effects of Internet technologies. He is an adjunct professor at New York University (NYU) in their graduate Interactive Telecommunications Program, where he teaches courses on the interrelationships of social and technological networks, particularly how they shape culture and vice-versa. He consults to a variety of organizations on network technologies, and is an acknowledged expert on collaboration tools, social networks, peer-to-peer sharing, collaborative filtering, and Open Source development. Clay has spoken and written extensively on the Internet since 1996, with regular columns in Business 2.0, FEED, OpenP2P.com and his own shirky.com blogsite. He has appeared in The New York Times, Time, The Wall Street Journal, the Harvard Business Review, and others. In his new book, "Here Comes Everybody", Clay explores how organizations and industries are being upended by open networks, collaboration, and user appropriation of content production and dissemination.

Karin BorchertKarin Borchert

As VP, Global Content and Customer Operations, for the Dow Jones Enterprise Media Group, Karin Borchert is responsible for procuring third party content, managing over 1,000 existing content relationships through to processing and integrating these content sets into the Group's Content Technology Solutions (CTS) product range. She is also responsible for Global Customer Service for CTS, product testing and the Work Anywhere program, which she spearheaded in 2006. Her technical, business, and management experience provide her with a strong foundation to lead these areas. Ms Borchert was previously Factiva's Chief Operations Officer, and was responsible for all aspects of product and content operations, customer service and business infrastructure. In this role she led teams that provided Factiva customers and employees with a global operating environment optimized for high performance, utilizing sound technologies and improving operational excellence. In addition, she led an enterprise-wide initiative to move to a distributed workforce globally including large-scale outsourcing initiatives. As a result, the company reached significantly greater levels of global agility, organizational flexibility, and cost savings while maintaining excellent levels of customer service.



Bryan BurdickBryan Burdick
President, ZoomInfo

As president of ZoomInfo, Bryan Burdick is responsible for sales, marketing, product and business development. Under his leadership and direction, the company increased profitability and continues to deliver record growth. Burdick was instrumental in expanding ZoomInfo's footprints beyond the recruiting industry into sales, marketing and bizographic ad targeting. He has also helped solidify strategic partnerships and business development relationships for the company. Before joining ZoomInfo, Burdick served as chief marketing officer for the Monster Worldwide TMP AdComms Division, where he was responsible for all product and marketing functions, as well as the division's strategic business operations. Prior to that, he was SVP of core segments for Monster North America. Previously, he served as SVP of global portal services with Terra Lycos, Inc., where he managed the five core international business units including Search and eCommerce. Burdick has also served as the SVP and managing director of consumer products for Go2Net (purchased by InfoSpace) and SVP of marketing for Reality Online, Inc., a Reuters Company.

J. Richard Carlson began his role as CEO and President of Wireless Matrix in May, 2004. He is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Teletouch Communications Inc., a publicly traded wireless communications firm based out of Tyler, Texas, where he led a dedicated paging company through a challenging transition to a multi-product and wireless service distribution company. Mr. Carlson was most recently the President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of U.S. Inspect, LLC, the United State's largest non-franchise home inspection business. He holds an MBA from Georgetown University.

Colin CrawfordColin Crawford

Colin Crawford was named SVP of online for IDG Communications in late 2005. In this role, Crawford serves as the key evangelist for IDG's transformation from print to online media in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Media properties include Computerworld, CIO, Network World, InfoWorld, PC World and Macworld. Previously, he served as VP of business development and operations for International Data Group (IDG). In 2006 Crawford was responsible for a major initiative called IDG Connect. IDG Connect supports IT companies through sales lead-generation programs that promote white papers, webcasts podcasts, product information and other vendor assets using IDG's extensive database of print subscribers, online readers, and event attendees. More recently Crawford has been helping on the launch of the IDG Technology Network plus various content syndication initiatives as well as evaluating opportunities in the mobile area. Between 1993 and 2003 he was President and CEO of Macworld where he was responsible for the strategic management and business development of the award-winning magazine and several online sites including Macworld.com, MacCentral.com, and the Macworld Product Finder. Prior to joining IDG, Crawford was managing director of Dennis Publishing Ltd., one of the largest independent publishers of computer magazines in the United Kingdom. Crawford is a regular speaker at key industry events. Crawford holds an ACA from the U.K. Institute of Chartered Accountants and a B.A. from the University of Kent at Canterbury.



Scott DonahueScott Donahue

For the past 14 years, Scott has delivered a wide variety of strategic analysis and business development expertise to top technology firms. Having served both in operational, investment, and advisory roles during his career, Scott has built deep knowledge in IT operations and services delivery approaches including: utility computing; heterogeneous data center operations; storage infrastructures; telecommunications and wireless operations management/OSS; and service-oriented architectures. Jason GreenJason Green

Jason is a founder of Emergence Capital and has over a dozen years of experience in the venture capital business as a General Partner with Emergence, a General Partner with USVP and as an associate with Venrock, the venture capital arm of the Rockefeller family. Earlier in his career, Jason served as VP of Muzertechnika, the largest private computer and Telecommunications Company in Eastern Europe. Prior to joining Adobe, Mack co-founded and was CEO of Scene7, provider of the leading on-demand rich media platform for e-commerce Web sites such as QVC, Otto UK and Land’s End, which was acquired by Adobe in May 2007. Mack previously co-founded and led GoodHome.com, an award-winning online home design site and the predecessor to Scene7. Prior to Goodhome.com, Mack served as executive VP of the Broderbund Home Division of Mattel. He also held strategy and business positions at McKinsey & Company and General Electric.

As a 25+ year media industry veteran and a former top executive at The Nielsen Company, Mr. Marchesano is known for his strong strategic and management skills. He has an impeccable reputation and is highly regarded throughout the industry. Prior to joining JEGI in 2007, Mr. Marchesano served as Executive VP and Chief Transformation Officer of The Nielsen Company. In this position, he was responsible for leading the company's business transformation strategy. Randy MarcinkoRandy Marcinko

Mr. Marcinko brings to Groxis over 20 years of senior–level leadership, strategy and advisory experience in the information industry. As founder and CEO of MEI, a service organization specializing in the monetization of publishers’ digital assets, Mr. Marcinko has designed and established content licensing strategy, executing deals on behalf of primary and secondary publishers with aggregators, syndicators, redistributors and specialty vendors within the information industry. Prior to MEI, Mr. Marcinko founded Dynamic Information Corp., a full–service information brokerage, which was sold to EBSCO Industries, Inc. In 2002 and 2003 he held the position of President and COO of Nstein Technologies, Inc. Mr. Marcinko received a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Alberta and did graduate research in organic chemistry at Stanford University.

David Mather joined Hoover's as president in June 2007. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of the company's initiatives and for driving Hoover's overall strategy. Before joining Hoover's, David served as Vice President and General Manager of Global Business Operations for a $1.4 billion Global Systems and Technology division at Unisys. David joined Unisys from Hewlett-Packard, where he was Vice President of Imaging Printing Group Worldwide Direct, which was responsible for developing the division's go-to-market model, as well as its global direct sales, Internet, and marketing strategies. Prior to this, David was HP's Vice President of Americas Sales Operations, after serving as a member of the acquisition team during the HP merger with Compaq Computer Corporation.



Jason MaynardJason Maynard

Jason Maynard co-manages a technology, media and telecom fund for Credit Suisse. Maynard has worked in the software industry since 1996 as both a research analyst and entrepreneur. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2005 as the group head of software research, Maynard was the global software coordinator for Merrill Lynch. In February 2004, Maynard launched the On Demand Index to track and measure the rise of On Demand business models and the trend of Software as a Service. InformationWeek magazine named Maynard to its 2005 Innovators and Influencers list based on his work in the field. Maynard was also a co-founder of Verix Software, a startup in the Java and CRM field.

Tim MillerTim Miller
VP and General Manager, Financial Markets, The 451 Group

Tim has primary responsibility for overall commercial growth, new business development and new product development for The 451 Group's financial product line, which includes the M&A analysis service 451 TechDealmaker, the IT-specialized transactions database, the M&A KnowledgeBase, and the firm's offerings to buyside equity investors. Tim is the former founder of Webmergers.com, which was acquired by The 451 Group in 2003. Prior to OpenAir, Morris was a Federal prosecutor and spent a year fighting narco-terrorism at the U.S. Embassy in Bogotá, Colombia. Morris is co-Chair of the Board of the Software Division of the SIIA and has been featured in The New York Times, Forbes and Fast Company.



Steven RosenbergSteven Rosenberg
VP, Third Party Redistribution, Thomson Reuters Markets America

Steven Rosenberg joined Thomson Financial as head of Content Licensing and Third Party Redistribution strategy in 2006. Since joining this leading provider of financial information and technology solutions, Steven has been successful in executing digital content distribution strategies and engagements with partners in the portal, media, software as service (SaaS), and financial services industry. Prior to joining Thomson, Steven served as Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and Sales at Reuters within the Enterprise Information Group leading Content Redistribution. At Reuters in 2001, Steven established leading brand presence in the Reference Data Market by tripling revenue from: major accounts, delivering new business, creatively managing strategic Third Party EIP Redistribution Relationships, and partner acquisition. Earlier, Steven was Strategic Sales Manager at Bridge Information Systems before it was acquired by Reuters and was responsible for developing and monetizing the B2B eBridge platform and Enterprise data business.



Treb RyanTreb Ryan
CEO, OpSource, Inc.

Since 1996, Mr. Ryan has been instrumental in defining and creating services organizations that improve the quality and reliability of the technology infrastructures businesses depend on for communications and commerce. Prior to co-founding OpSource in 2002, Mr. Ryan was President of the Americas for Metromedia Fiber Network (MFN). He was responsible for integrating the sales and delivery organizations of the company's Internet businesses-hosting, IP networking, and managed services - providing customers with an integrated network and IT infrastructure solution. Under his leadership, MFN customers included BP Amoco, JP Morgan Chase, Sony, Microsoft, and Mercedes-Benz. Mr. Ryan joined MFN from SiteSmith, a company that he co-founded in 1999 and ultimately sold to MFN the following year in a deal valued at $1.4 billion. Prior to co-founding SiteSmith, Mr. Ryan was VP of Professional Services for GlobalCenter, a pioneer in the hosting and Internet services marketplace. Mr. Ryan credits his success in creating IT services that meet customers' ever-changing business challenges to his background in operations, which includes ten years in operations and management positions at Great America, a division of Viacom, one of the world's largest consumer entertainment companies.



Webb ShawWebb Shaw
Director of Editorial Resources, J.J. Keller & Associates, Inc.

Webb Shaw leads content creation and management, content software development, custom project development, IP protection and corporate knowledge management at J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. With nearly 1,300 employees based in Neenah, WI, J. J. Keller is the leading North American publisher of regulatory, compliance and best-practice materials - print, software and online - in the human resources, workplace safety, construction safety, heavy-duty trucking and hazmat markets. While at J. J. Clara ShihClara Shih
Product Line Director, AppExchange, salesforce.com

Clara Shih joined Salesforce.com in 2006 and is currently the product line manager for AppExchange, an online marketplace for software-as-a-service business applications. In this role, Clara oversees product marketing, product management, and product strategy functions for the site, described by Forbes Magazine as the "iTunes of business software" and one of the top innovations of 2006. Independently, Clara is also the creator of Faceforce, the first enterprise social networking mashup which integrates Salesforce CRM and Facebook. Previously, Clara worked in strategy and business operations at Google and as a software developer at Microsoft. She is the founder and serves on the board of directors of Camp Amelia Technology Literacy Group, an East Palo Alto, California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that develops and distributes technology education software and curriculum. Clara holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in computer science from Stanford University, as well as a Master's Degree in internet studies from the University of Oxford, where she studied as a Marshall Scholar.



Larry SchwartzLarry Schwartz
President, Newstex, LLC

Larry Schwartz is a co-founder of Newstex and President of the company. Larry has guided numerous entertainment and new media ventures, from start-up through growth, development and maturity, including Bolenka Games Online (Trivial Pursuit Online), GFI Group (Nasdaq:GFIG - financial), Wizard World (publishing), Patron Technology (technology) and Tickets.com (Purchased by MLB.com). Larry attended Bates College and the Yale University Graduate School of Drama. He serves on the Content Board of Directors for the Software Information Industry Association, and is a frequent speaker on content, product development, start-ups and turnarounds. When he's not adding value to content, Larry is a show manger for hunter/jumper horse shows, is on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Horse Show Association and maintains several horse web sites and blogs (www.chsaonline.com, www.srostables.com). Larry, a confirmed gadget geek, also spends time on Broadway with his theatrical agent wife and two daughters.



Jim Skelly
Director of Content Licensing, North America, Dow Jones & Company

Jim Skelly is the director of content licensing in North America for Dow Jones & Company's Enterprise Media Group. In his role, Mr. Skelly is responsible for managing existing relationships with information providers in North America as well as generating new content relationships. Prior to his current position, Mr. Skelly was major account executive for Factiva's Global Account team, before it was fully acquired by Dow Jones, where he managed some of Factiva's largest customer accounts. And prior to that, he was sales and marketing manager of Federal Filings, a subsidiary of Dow Jones. Mr. Skelly joined Dow Jones in March of 1988 as an account development executive. Throughout his career, Mr. Skelly has been recognized with many company awards for his ability to successfully manage customer accounts and information provider relationships. Mr. Skelly earned a bachelor's degree from Manhattan College with a major in computer information services.

Ken WaschKen Wasch

Wasch's involvement in SIIA is based on both personal and professional interests. His long-standing interest in computers and software, coupled with the industry's need for a central trade association, led him to establish the Software Publishers Association (SPA) in 1984 with an initial group of 25 software firms. Wasch has led the association from its infancy to its merger with the Information Industry Association in January 1999, resulting in the formation of SIIA.
