Adrian Joseph

Adrian Joseph is Managing Director for Google Enterprise in EMEA. Adrian has been with Google since 2006 where he has built up and managed sales teams in Googles Advertising business. Prior to his role at Google he led large teams at Trafficmaster Plc and held Pan-European positions at AT Kearney and Ford. Adrian holds a BA in Economics and an MBA from Manchester Business School.
Zach Nelson

Zach Nelson has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the hi-tech industry, where he has held a variety of executive positions spanning marketing, sales, product development and business strategy with leading companies such as Oracle, Sun Microsystems, and McAfee/Network Associates. Nelson has been CEO of NetSuite since 2002. A main driving force behind NetSuite’s successful IPO, Nelson has led NetSuite to be one of the hottest SaaS software companies in the world. Prior to NetSuite, he helped transform McAfee Associates into Network Associates, leading the company's expansion into the network management arena with the $1.4 billion acquisition of Network General. Later, as CEO of NAI subsidiary, myCIO, he created the world's first business-to-business security application services provider. Before Network Associates, Nelson was Vice President, World Wide Marketing at Oracle Corp., where he was responsible for global marketing strategy and implementation. Mr. Nelson, at 31 years old, was the youngest VP of Marketing in Oracle's history. At Sun, he drove the marketing and branding of the first version of the Solaris operating system, and led the product and corporate marketing effort at the company's SunSoft Division. Mr. Nelson holds a patent in the field of application integration, and has several others pending approval. He holds B.S. and M.A. degrees from Stanford University.
John Wookey

John Wookey joined SAP in November 2008 as Executive Vice President, Large Enterprise On Demand. In this role, Wookey is charged with driving the strategic direction and development of SAP's On-Demand product road map solely for large enterprise customers. Prior to joining SAP, Wookey served as senior vice president at Oracle Corp., responsible JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Oracle and Siebel business applications, and Oracle's next-generation Fusion applications. Over his 12 year tenure at Oracle, Wookey worked with a number of Oracle applications, including Customer Relationship Management, Financials and Projects, as well as Oracle's Healthcare, Financial Services, Life Sciences and Student Systems groups.

Kevin Aspindle is the Senior Manager of Partner Development for Progress Software. His passion for IT and his considerable expertise developed championing business technology make him a persuasive and visionary commentator. Mimecast is the third company Peter has successfully founded. Previously Managing Director of Idion Solutions, a gold-certified Microsoft partner in Cape Town, Peter’s first technology venture, FAB Technologies (Pty) Ltd, was strategically acquired by Idion Technology Holdings in 1998 to provide significant skills, intellectual capital and proprietary software to the newly formed Idion Solutions. Fab Technologies, itself a leading Microsoft-certified solution provider and authorised Keyflow solution provider, focused on web and workflow business solutions using best of breed products and technologies. Originally from South Africa, Peter moved to the UK to take advantage of innovation in the UK information technology sector and founded Mimecast soon after.

Before joining Bessemer, Philippe was a Senior Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company's high-tech practice in Silicon Valley, specializing in the software, IT solutions, and internet industries. During his tenure with McKinsey, which started in Paris in 1998, Philippe led the development of "web 1.0" internet start-ups, pioneered the firm's work with "on-demand" software, and advised clients on sales and marketing and growth strategies. His clients included multi-national corporations and private equity funds.

Brian Caulfield

Brian Caulfield is a Computer Engineering graduate of Trinity College Dublin. After graduating in 1986, Brian spent over two years doing research at Trinity College Dublin as part of an EU funded ESPRIT project. In 1992 Brian co-founded Exceptis Technologies where he was CEO and CTO. Exceptis developed dispute management software for the electronic/card payments sector that was sold to blue-chip banking customers in Europe, the United States and Asia. Exceptis was sold to Trintech Group (NASDAQ: TTPA) in November 2000. In February 2001 Brian co-founded Similarity Systems, a business focused data quality management software company, with Garry Moroney. In January 2006, Similarity was acquired by Informatica (NASDAQ: INFA). Brian was also a founder director and shareholder of Prediction Dynamics, which failed in 2004. Brian joined Trinity Venture Capital in June 2002. At TVC Brian sat on the boards of, amongst others, AePONA, ChangingWorlds (sold to Amdocs - NYSE: DOX), CR2, and SteelTrace (sold to Compuware - NASDAQ: CPWR). Brian recently completed an assignment as Interim CEO at AePONA, a UK based telecommunications software vendor, having left Trinity Venture Capital in September 2007. Brian is a board member/personal investor in a number of early stage technology companies, including PutPlace, Vigitrust, Sentry Wireless, Cibenix, Cicero Networks and Clavis Technology. In November 2007, the Irish Software Association named Brian their Technology Person of the Year.

Diarmuid is an evangelist of SaaS and APS (Application Packaging Standard) and an active member of the APS Non-Profit Organisation, whose goal it is to establish the de-facto SaaS standard. Prior to joining 1&1 Internet, Diarmuid worked internationally as an independent consultant to a number of clients including Philips, Ericsson, Sony, Sony-Ericsson and Centrica.

Todd Gardner

Mr Gardner leads the Software Division and works with its members to shape thought leadership and networking within the industry. Prior to joining the SIIA, Todd was the founder and CEO of SaaS Capital where he worked with hundreds of software companies, venture capitalist and service providers to develop and deliver and innovative growth capital solution to on-demand businesses. For the 10 years prior to launching SaaS Capital, Todd was a partner at Blue Chip Venture Company where he focused on investing in software and content companies. During his tenure in the venture capital business, Todd maintained a 100% success rate in software investing even during challenging investment cycles following the technology bubble of 2000. Prior to his venture work and following an MBA at Indiana University, Todd worked for Deloitte Consulting Group managing large packaged software deployments for ERP, CRM, and financial applications.
After starting an auditing career in New York and Paris, Laurent Gasser spent 2 years in Africa (Benin) on a consulting assignment. In 1991, Laurent embarked on his Business development career by creating at the age of 26 the first Eastern European office of French auditing & consulting firms in Budapest. Laurent developed and managed the Eastern and Central European network of Mazars to the level of 4 offices and 110 people in 1996. Following his experience in emerging markets, Laurent joined RSM International (RSMi), the seventh largest professional service accounting and consulting organization in the world, to develop and manage RSMi China business and create a network of Chinese member firms. Sharing his life between Beijing and Shanghai, Laurent was also at 35 the youngest elected Chairman of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China, and has succeeded in a global reengineering of the French Chamber, opening 2 new offices in Shanghai & Guangzhou, and dramatically increasing membership and revenues. During his 3 years in China, Laurent acquired an in depth knowledge of the Chinese market and regulations, advising foreign companies in various business fields. He has also driven the launch of the first Sino-European accounting Joint Venture, Salustro ZhongRui.

Martin Geddes is Director of Strategy at BT Design, a division of BT Group. He is acknowledged as one of the leading thinkers and analysts on the future of the communications industry. He has a specialist interest in the future of voice and personal communications, as well as the application of two-sided market structures to the telecoms industry. Until the close of 2008 he was Chief Analyst at STL Partners, where he co-founded the Telco 2.0 Initiative. This is designed to catalyse business model innovation and collaboration across the telecoms-media-technology ecosystem. He has consulted to many multi-national network operators and equipment vendors on strategic issues, as well as being a key contributor to Telco 2.0 research and conferences. Martin Geddes also writes a popular telecom strategy weblog. He has been cited by Business Week, Forbes, and BBC News Online, as well as many industry journals. He is a popular presenter at many leading industry conferences.Before a spell as an independent consultant, he was a technology specialist and product strategy manager at Sprint in Overland Park, KS, and is named on 8 granted US patents. Prior to entering telecoms, his early career was as an IT consultant, specialising in high availability and scalability database design at Oracle Corporation, as well as financial transaction processing systems at BancTec Inc.

Conor Halpin is SVP EMEA for OpSource Inc. OpSource deliver web operations on behalf of leading SaaS companies world-wide including Adobe, Business Objects, and Xactly. Conor was founder and CEO of LeCayla Technologies, the world’s first purpose built SaaS Metering, Billing and Customer LifeCycle management solution which was acquired by OpSource in 2008 and is now OpSource Billing CLM. Conor brings a wealth of experience in delivering, marketing and selling SaaS solutions both on behalf of OpSource companes and as a founder of a SaaS company himself. He has led the sales and marketing effort for a number of international software companies including eSpatial Solutions and Marrakech eProcurement Services. Prior to that Conor was VP strategic alliances with IONA Technologies. He holds a degree in software engineering from Trinity College Dublin.

Jon Kruse is an Investment Director for Intel Capital responsible for leading investments in the OnDemand and IT Services sectors. He has executed equity and business development deals around the world in firms as varied as Skype (VoIP telephony), Panorama Software (Business Intelligence), OpSource (SaaS enabling), Certisign (Brazil - Service based workflow tools), Star SoftComm (PRC - service based manageability), TOA Technologies (SaaS based field management), and Voxify (SaaS based voice automation). Prior to joining Intel Capital, Jon spent 10 years in a variety of marketing, strategic planning, and finance roles at Intel. He led the strategic planning effort which ultimately led to Intel's Digital Home vision, as well as several emerging market based programs and products (PRC Education and Internet Café PCs). Jon also led Intel's European business client marketing team, which delivered several of Intel's initial Central European and Russian specific marketing programs. Prior to joining Intel, Jon's professional experience included information technology and strategic consulting roles at Andersen Consulting and Coopers & Lybrand. He received his MBA from the University of Michigan and a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Miami University. Steve’s main focus is encouraging partners, developers and customers to adopt the Salesforce.com platform and enable the next generation of enterprise applications on the web. Prior to Salesforce.com, Steve devoted 10 years to SAP Business Objects (Acquired) and Crystal Decisions including his last appointment as Worldwide Vice President of the OnDemand (SaaS) business unit. In a general management role, Steve launched the OnDemand business, including strategy creation, management of the entire business unit and the go to market execution, resulting in a successful Business Intelligence on demand service with over 100,000 subscribers. Prior to his role in OnDemand, he led various teams including OEM sales, Partner Channel Management, Data Integration, etc. Earlier in his career, he worked at Software Spectrum and Microsoft in marketing and senior sales management roles. He has authored several books on Business Intelligence, led strategic sales and technology teams driving product planning and direction. Throughout his career, Steve has worked in the software industry in technical, sales and consulting management capacities. Steve, his wife and two children live in Denver, Colorado.
William S. McNee

Mr. McNee is the President and CEO of Saugatuck Technology, a strategy consulting and subscription research and advisory firm focused on emerging IT markets. In 2000, recognising the potential of the cloud computing model, Martin was one of the founders of salesforce.com in Europe. Martin has dual responsibilities involving both global alliances with major systems integrators as well as EMEA partnerships. Prior to joining salesforce.com Martin spent almost ten years at IT giant Oracle in application sales where he worked his way through the ranks from sales representative to country manager for applications in Ireland. Martin started his career at Capita Group where he managed business process outsourcing contracts. Karen Paterson is founder and CEO of Patersons HR and Payroll Solutions. Originally from a retail banking and then corporate finance background, Karen became interested in technology in the early 90’s. After completion of an MBA specializing in international information technology strategy and undertaking a number of complex IT projects, she then traveled internationally providing senior level strategic consultancy to many fortune 500 companies on HR/payroll systems, workflow and processes. In 1996, she formed Patersons with a view to solving a real gap in the market – international payroll. Karen is a thought leader in new wave software as a service technology and the enterprise application market and also works closely with several top U.K. universities on systems methodology. Karen was awarded Best Entrepreneur in EMEA at the 5th Annual Stevie Awards for Women in 2008, was a finalist in the Growing Business Awards and recently named as a 2009 HRO Superstar. Dr. Vogels is Vice President & Chief Technology Officer at Amazon.com where he is responsible for driving the company's technology vision, which is to continuously enhance the innovation on behalf of Amazon's customers at a global scale.
