Learn How RISS Speeds Information Sharing Across Law Enforcement Agencies with Secure Internet Single Sign-On

More than 1,200 law enforcement officers across the country are logging into their native systems and gaining immediate access to Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) resources, thanks to RISSs Trusted Credential Project. RISS launched the TCP initiative because it wanted to provide member law enforcement agencies with an alternative way to securely access RISSNET resources without requiring the use of RISS-issued credentials. A standards-based Single Sign-On solution was key to making this possible. In this use case, Ping Identity CTO Patrick Harding will explore RISSs path to seamless access to RISSNET, lessons learned along that way and insights into how a this Internet Identity security project has now positioned that this federally-funded organization to align with other justice-related agencies to lead future advances in information sharing.

Hosted IT Asset Management in New Mexico

In late 2007 the New Mexico Department of Health established a requirement for a comprehensive automated IT asset management (ITAM) system, capable of working in a network of consisting of approximately 15,000 computing assets and 1500 licensed software titles. After a comprehensive evaluation of several solutions, New Mexico Department of Health selected the xAssets hosted Discovery Service for implementation across its network. The xAssets service has become an integral component of the New Mexico Department of Health IT operations, and is routinely used to augment the help desk operation, track installations, moves, adds and changes, manage software and hardware configurations and to provide data for new purchasing decisions.

Brevard County (Florida) Clerk of the Court Office Transparent Workflow, GRC and Document Management

Brevard County, one of the largest counties in Florida containing Cape Canaveral and the greater Space-Coast region, is utilizing the Kaulkin Information Systems (KIS) KISTrack SaaS|Cloud platform for critical data management and workflow that requires transparency and auditability owing to the sensitive nature of the court data. The system processes over 25,000 scanned court records per day into four separate systems that are located in two different geographic locations. Accuracy, redundancy and availability of all images, records and index metadata are critical objectives for SaaS|Cloud return on investment (ROI).
