Chief Technology Officer, Microsoft Corporation (Federal Sales)

Susie Adams is the Chief Technology Officer for Microsoft Federal’s Civilian business. In her present role she oversees and implements the technical strategy for Microsoft’s Civilian Federal Government business. Prior to joining Microsoft she held numerous leadership positions at Washington DC area consulting organizations including work at McGladery and Pullen, Booz-Allen-Hamilton and Spectrum Technology Group where she was the Director of Web development. Susie is most recently noted for her leadership in standing up Microsoft's Technology and Innovation Center for the Washington DC region and has authored several books on the topics of software integration and web development. Susie is a resident of Washington metropolitan area and holds a BS in Information Systems from George Mason University.

Michael Binko

Michael P. Binko is president/CEO and a member of the Board of Directors for kloudtrack. Prior to joining kloudtrack, Binko was founder and currently still serves as Managing General Partner of Gemini Venture Partners LLP, an early-stage private equity and venture capital firm concentrating on technology companies in the software, SaaS|Cloud, computing, communications, internet, social networking, enterprise data management, new media and other information technology sectors.

Prior to founding Gemini, Binko was with XRiver Technologies (NASDAQ: XYBR) where he served as Vice President of Corporate and Business Development. Concentrating on the markets of mobile computing and communications, XRiver is a leading intellectual property, technology and solution services company focused on wireless and mobile computing in numerous industry sectors.

Binko earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees (with honors) in both Business Communications and English from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia. Binko is a graduate of the Innovation Management program offered jointly by the University of Maryland�s Smith School of Business and A. James Clark School of Engineering.

Binko is host of The UpStart Show a distributed content TV program that highlights the innovation ecosystem of early-stage entrepreneurs and investors.

Binko is also a Board Member of the SIIA Software Division.

Director, Federal, Google Enterprise

Mike Bradshaw manages Google's Federal business. He leads a team based in Reston, VA, responsible for selling and marketing Google's Enterprise solutions to the Federal government. Prior to joining Google, Mike spent 15 years at Microsoft, most recently as the Director of the US Department of Defense business. Mike began his career in IBM Federal as a systems engineer and moved into account management of Civilian Agencies. He also worked for Oracle in their Mid-Atlantic commercial sector.

Mike received his MBA from George Washington University, and his undergraduate degree from the College of William and Mary.

Daniel Burton

Senior Vice President & GM, Global Public Sector, Salesforce.com

Daniel Burton is Senior Vice President & GM Global Public Sector for salesforce.com. He has played a leadership role in the development of US technology policy for over twenty years. Prior to joining salesforce.com in January 2006, he served as Vice President of Government Affairs for Entrust and for Novell. He was also President of the Council on Competitiveness where he was a pioneer in the effort to establish government technology policies for the US high-tech industry.

Mr. Burton holds an MA in political economy from Columbia University, a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and a Diplome de Langue et Civilisation Francaises from the Sorbonne. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the board of the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA), and a member of the board of the Washington Project for the Arts.

He has edited three books, including Vision for the 1990s: US Strategy and the Global Economy, and written numerous articles on technology policy and competitiveness, which have appeared in Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, The New York Times, The Washington Quarterly, and Scientific American.

 

Christopher "Rocky" Campione

Director of Business Solutions, Planet Technologies

Christopher “Rocky” Campione joined Planet Technologies in February of 2009. At Planet, he advises senior government officials in the executive and legislative branches, energy industry executives, and non profits on cyber security and national security issues. He is regularly quoted in academic and media articles regarding the cyber security threats to our country.

Rocky came to Planet Technologies from the Department of Energy where he served as senior advisor to the Deputy Secretary in this capacity he functioned as the chief of staff to the Deputy Secretary and focused on national security and Departmental Administration issues.

Prior to this role, Rocky held the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary for National Security where he was dealt with issues pertaining to cyber security, the Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, and the Office of Health, Safety, and Security (HSS). Mr. Campione also served as the Senior Advisor to the Department of Energy's Chief Information Officer.

A graduate of Syracuse University, Mr. Campione graduated with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History, and he has a Master’s of Science degree from George Mason University in Technology Management. He currently resides in Alexandria, VA where he spends his free time keeping up with his children and being active in political campaigns.

 

Edward Cartier

Ed Cartier has a long and distinguished career in software marketing, licensing and sales. He is currently the Marketing Director and Treasurer for xAssets LLC, the US subsidiary of xAssets Ltd. In his position as Sr. Vice President of Corporate communications for Eracent, Inc. he managed of all aspects of corporate marketing, channel partner development, corporate contract management and oversight of the RFP response process. Prior to taking the position at Eracent, he spent thirteen years in the AT&T/Lucent Technologies Intellectual Property Business.

Ed has been widely published, regularly contributing articles to trade publications focused on IT asset management. He also authored several published white papers dealing with the role of IT asset management tools in maintaining network security and controlling IT costs. While at Lucent he was recognized as one of the top 50 channel executives for two consecutive years.

Ed holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a graduate of the AEA/Stanford Executive Institute on Managing Technology Companies held at the Stanford University School of Business at Palo Alto California.

Peter Corbett is the founder and CEO of iStrategyLabs — an interactive agency that develops creative solutions to clients’ challenges and brings them to life in the digital and physical world. Peter has won multiple industry awards, including 3 Addys in 2008, the Great Washington DC Board of Trade's "One To Watch" award for being "A rising entrepreneur who has a bright and sustainable future in Greater Washington", has been named one of the most influential Washingtonians under 40 by WashingtonLife Magazine and is a "Top 25 Most Fascinating Communicator in Government IT" according to GovFresh. Washingtonian Magazine included him in their Tech Titan list of the top 100 people shaping technology innovation in the greater capital area and Government Technology magazine included him in their prestigious “25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers” for 2010.

In Government 2.0 circles, Peter is widely known for co-creating Apps for Democracy with Vivek Kundra and DC’s Office of the CTO, as well his co-founding of Government 2.0 Club, Government 2.0 Camp, and Transparency Camp. His focus on creating – rather than just talking about – smarter, better, faster, and cheaper ways of doing things has inspired similar initiatives around the world like Apps for Democracy Finland/Belgium/Germany/Australia, Apps for America, DataSF Challenge and NYC Big Apps. He is currently working on the Apps for the Army program.

Project Manager, U.S. General Services Administration (GSA)

Ryan Edelstein manages the CRM systems program for GSA's Federal Acquisition Service (FAS). He has overseen a successful pilot of Salesforce.com as a CRM solution used by 150 GSA associates worldwide and is currently working to bring on additional marketing and customer service groups within FAS. Ryan has previously worked on other CRM projects in government, utilizing Siebel and SugarCRM platforms. Ryan has a BA in Political Science from Colorado State University.

 

Alfred Elliott III

VP – National Intelligence and Homeland Security, JB&A

Alfred Elliott is the Vice President of National Intelligence and Homeland Security at JB & A. He brings forty years of experience including 30 years of leadership experience in operations and management (planning and programming) of intelligence and counterintelligence activities while a member of the US Army and 10 years of corporate-level experience as a Senior Analyst, Project Manager, and Corporate Vice President. Mr. Elliott has extensive experience in developing, defending and execution of budget submissions. He has developed multi-billion dollar programs for systems to include their operations and sustainment funding. He also brings extensive experience in program and project management that includes integration of technologies into current operations and research and development programs. He has demonstrated capabilities managing high-dollar projects and projects with large numbers of manpower resources to include managing the fielding of intelligence systems to support timely receipt and dissemination of national, theater and tactical intelligence. Alfred was inducted into the Army Intelligence Hall of Fame in 2003, has two Master’s degrees – one in Military Arts and Sciences and one in Business Administration and is a doctoral candidate in organizational leadership at the University of Phoenix.

Joe has over twenty years experience in security, 14+ years with IBM, leading the Federal security business. He has led significant security implementations which serve as many as five million users at Federal agencies.

He serves as the Chair of the Federal CTO Security Technical Council. The council is responsible for setting the direction for architecture and design of all IBM Federal initiatives and identifying emerging Federal Security requirements.

Joe also chairs the IBM North America Technical Security Community. The community is responsible for setting product directions, providing direction on product education, and integrating federal standards into the IBM security product set.

Joe also represents IBM on the GSA led initiatives including E-Authentication and HSPD-12.

Robert McNeill is a Vice President with Saugatuck Technology. His areas of focus include Cloud-based service management, outsourcing, technology sourcing strategies and Cloud business solutions. Robert is especially expert at working with providers to help them evolve their business models, including sales and marketing strategies.

Previously, Robert was VP Strategy and Marketing for SaaS vendor Service-now.com, and a strategy consultant with Deloitte Consulting advising organizations across North America on sourcing strategies.

Prior to these experiences, Robert was a Principal Analyst with Forrester Research and Giga Information Group. There he provided research and consulting services to both end user organizations and high technology vendors focused around technology sourcing strategies and best practices. He is a contributing author of a book produced by the Institute of Directors in the UK on software asset management.

Robert holds a master's degree in European business and a bachelor's degree in business studies from Cass Business School, City University, London, UK.

Tom Temin has 30 years experience in journalism, mostly in technology markets. He was a long-serving editor in chief of Government Computer News and Washington Technology Magazines, both of which were regular winners of national reporting awards.

He started out at a small weekly newspaper in Peterborough, New Hampshire in 1977, after graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Tom is now a communications and publishing consultant.

Before joining Federal News Radio AM 1050 daily on air, Tom wrote-and will continue to write-a weekly column for FederalNewsRadio.com on government IT and acquisition topics. He's been a regular call-in guest on "The Federal Drive."

Mr. Tudahl brings over 25 years of technical leadership and management experience in information technology services, software strategy, software development and complex software system implementations. Mr. Tudahl co-founded NEW WORLD APPS in 1999 and is a pioneer in the SaaS service delivery model. He currently leads the company’s Security, Operations and Service Delivery teams, with a focus on serving the public sector.

Dan has strong experience in building strategic partnering relationships with SaaS providers and with government information technology organizations. For many years, Dan has worked with security officers in government organizations to certify and accredit their commercially hosted environments.

Prior to co-founding NEW WORLD APPS, Dan held various executive positions within the IBM Corporation and technology consulting firm Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath (PRTM). At PRTM, Dan helped lead the firm's Information Technology practice and led major process improvement projects at AT&T, IBM, Lucent, Lotus, Seagate, Xerox and CIENA corporations.

Dan received his MBA degree from Harvard Business School and a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin.

Prior to moving back to Texas in July 2007, Joyce was a Senior Executive at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in Bethesda, Maryland where she was responsible for the successful implementation of the agency’s first ever performance-based multi-million dollar, multi year HR outsourcing contract.
