As the voice of the educational technology industry, we take a leadership role in developing this vision for K-20 education - a vision that utilizes modern technologies to create a world-class teaching and learning environment that prepares all students as global citizens capable of leading the world in innovation.

SIIA has created this website to assist the education community - educators, students, faculty, parents, school board members, policy makers - to understand technology's role in facilitating 21st Century education for the improvement of America's future.

The SIIA Vision is based on the experience that technology:

• Allows educators to teach and learn in ways that were not previously possible
• Enables educators to be more efficient and effective in teaching and learning
• Is essential for life-long learning
