Rolf Agather is the managing director of research and innovation for Russell Investments’ family of global indexes, which offer an objective and transparent way to accurately measure distinct segments of the global market. In this role, Rolf is responsible for creating new index concepts and publishing compelling research on capital markets, indexation, and investment management.
Rolf has been involved with the Russell Indexes in a number of roles during his career at Russell. He served as product manager from 1993 to 1995 and was the manager of the Russell index operations group from 1989 to 1991.
In addition to his Russell experience, Rolf was a vice president and director of the portfolio products business at FactSet Research systems in Greenwich, Connecticut. Since 2002 David has been operating Atradia (www.atradia.com), a management consultancy practice focused on the market data industry. Werner Bürki has been a member of the Management Board of the SIX Swiss Exchange since July 2002 and, since October 2001, has held the position of CEO of SIX Exfeed Ltd, a company he established as a European provider of raw financial data. He has also been a member of the STOXX Supervisory Board since December 2002 and its Chairman since April 2006. He started his career in 1992 as a sales manager with Dow Jones Markets Switzerland AG. By 2001, he had become a member of that company's Executive Committee and Board of Directors, whereas in June 1998 he assumed the position of General Manager Switzerland for Bridge Information Systems. Werner Bürki graduated from business school in Zurich. Sara Banerjee is Director, Global Data Acquisition with SIX Telekurs in Zurich, Switzerland.
Sara joined SIX Telekurs USA in Stamford, CT in 1989, and has held various positions within the company.

In her current position, she is responsible for Data Administration and Data Acquisition Support. In this role, she manages best practices for acquisition and implementation of pricing and reference data from dozens of global exchanges and third party contributors. Sara is additionally responsible for various strategic initiatives and projects.

Sara is actively involved with various industry initiatives, and works with groups such as the X9D (ANSI Standards) committee and ISO standards working groups (WG 1, WG 2 and WG 6). She also serves as co-chair of the vendor committee for the International Securities Association for Institutional Trade (ISITC). She is active in various divisions of the Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (SIFMA).

In addition to her other industry activities, Sara has served in a number of leadership roles with the Financial Information Industry Services Division of the SIIA (FISD). She has served on several FISD committees since joining the group in 1994, and was elected chair of the Executive Committee in 2001, 2002 and 2006, and vice-chair in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011. She currently serves on the Executive Committee and is co-chair of the biennial World Financial Information Conference.

Sara was born in Hyderabad, India, where she earned a master’s degree in organizational behavior from Osmania University. After moving to the United States, she earned a masters degree in human resource management from University of Bridgeport, CT.

 

Recep Bildik

Recep Bildik is currently the Director of Market, Product Development and Special Projects Department at the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE). Dr. Bildik played a pivotal role in establishing the ISE’s first computerized trading system, making regulations on market microstructure of equity market, managing market operations, and developing new products. He is also an adjunct faculty at the Graduate School of Business, Koc University, Turkey, and a board member of Takasbank Inc. as a member of Statutory Auditors’ Board, the sole clearing and settlement bank of Turkey.

Dr. Bildik was a visiting scholar at the Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago and Finance Department at the DePaul University. Recep Bildik also previously served as senior researcher at the Research Center of the Global Association of Risk Professionals. Ken has more than 20 years of executive management experience in both private and public companies. Much of his career has specifically focused on the sales, marketing and channel execution roles vital to the growth and culture of early and late stage companies.
Ken was most recently president and CEO of Cast Iron Systems, the leader in cloud integration. Since Ken took over as CEO of the company, results were dramatic, including a 10-fold increase in revenue, the acquisition of more than 700 new customers and the strategic transformation from a provider of integration appliances to an innovator in cloud computing. Key to Cast Iron's growth and market leader success were the deep technology and channel partnerships with ADP, Amazon, Cisco, Dell, Google, HP, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce.com, and many others.
IBM acquired Cast Iron in April 2010 as a critical piece of its cloud strategy. Ken is currently an executive in IBM's software division, working to leverage Cast Iron's integration capabilities across other IBM products and acquisitions.
His prior leadership experience includes serving as the original EVP of sales and services at CollabNet, a pioneer in the collaborative software development space. The Symbology initiative provides the marketplace access to Bloomberg identifiers and symbols across asset classes with no limitations on usage. The VM group manages IT, Market Data and Retail content licensing and here his responsibilities continue with focus on strategic planning, contract management including procurement and internal business consultant/external vendor relationship management.
From a market perspective and to bring knowledge inside Robeco, Tristan takes active involvement with various industry groups including FISD where he is currently serving as Executive Committee member, Co-Chair for the CCG, WFIC programme committee member and FIA Curriculum Committee member. Also a founding member of the Dutch market data peer group, the Rabobank synergy group (Robeco's mother company), network member of both Cossiom (Paris based user group) and IPUG (London based user group). Francis' Division, located within the Directorate General Statistics of the ECB, is responsible for the external statistics of the euro area (balance of payments, international investment position, foreign direct investment, etc.) and coordinates their harmonisation across the EU. It also runs and further develops the Centralised Securities Database (CSDB), which holds reference and price data for individual securities used for producing euro area statistics. The Division also manages the provision of all market data services for the ECB.

Before joining the ECB in 2001, Francis worked for 15 years in the automotive industry. He joined Mercedes-Benz in 1986, and later moved to Mannesmann-VDO as Head of Strategic Planning. His roles ranged from materials research to globalisation, with a focus on Asia. He subsequently worked at Rieter AG, focussing on post-merger integration and process development. Francis joined the ECB as Head of the Organisational Planning Division; he moved to his current position in 2006.

Jim subsequently joined forces with Steven Schoenfeld to work on Schoenfeld’s landmark Wiley Finance book Active Index Investing, the two developed IndexUniverse.com into a broadly focused, independent website.

Previously, Jim was publisher of IndexFunds.com and is the author of Exchange Traded Funds, a book that was published by John Wiley & Sons. , Jim has also served as an editor and writer for Compton's Encyclopedia, and worked as a contract journalist in West Africa, after serving in the Peace Corps in Niger. He is a 1991 graduate of Tufts University.

Tina Young joined Morgan Stanley's Market Data Sourcing Team back in 2007. In addition to managing many other data vendors, Tina has been recently charged with organizing and managing Morgan Stanley's relationships with Index providers. This task has led her to participate in both FISD's Index Forum and many informal discussions with providers and users of this type of data. Prior to her joining Morgan Stanley, Tina was with JP Morgan for several years, primarily covering real-time market data vendors and exchanges. This was her second time at the firm, as year's earlier, she had completed The Chase Manhattan Bank's Credit Training program and worked as an analyst in their Investment Bank's ESOP Financing Group . Tina left the bank to pursue a career in market data working for Reuters America. There, she spent a few years on their National Account Sales team and was a project manager for the then newly formed Global Accounts Management program. Her experience has been invaluable in assisting the creation of the process Morgan Stanley uses to negotiate and contract with vendors.

Tina is a graduate of Villanova University's College of Commerce and Finance, (now known as Villanova Business School) with a BSBA. Together with her husband, she has a second full time career raising their two children.
