Information for Delegates
Note that FISD is providing transportation to all off site events. Departure will be from the Marriott (conference hotel) at the times indicated per the schedule for the event. You must wear your WFIC name badge to gain entry to these events. Suggested attire for the sessions during the day is business-casual. See specific networking events for additional information
Saturday, October 5
Sintra Tour
8:45 – Meet in Lobby for Check-in
9:00am – Bus departs from Lisbon Marriott (be sure to have breakfast before we leave!)
9:30am – Arrive in Sintra
9:30am – 12:30pm Tour Challenge* (please carefully review the description below)
12:30pm – 3:00pm – Free time for lunch/shopping, etc. (on your own)
3:00pm – 4:00pm – Guided Visit to Royal Palace (meet at the Palace at 2:50)
4:00pm - depart Sintra
4:30 - Arrive at Lisbon Marriott hotel
*Tour Challenge: This is a team activity where you will be given challenges while exploring Sintra. Each team will be given a “roadbook” and instructions on what to accomplish at each checkpoint. The challenges will be recorded via a tablet (provided by us for each team). Examples for a challenge might be to have a team member recite a poem while standing in front of the Sculpture Museum or to have a photo taken with a local resident. The winning team will be recognized during the conference. The teams will be organized so that you have the opportunity to meet and interact with your industry peers. This walking activity is approximately 2.5 hours (wear comfortable shoes!) and will give you an excellent feel for this quaint Portugal town.
Sunday, October 6

Belem, photo opportunity at two of Lisbon's jewels and symbols ‑ The Jerónimos Monastery and the Tower of Belem

GENERAL
The conference kicks off officially on Sunday, October 6th at 4:30 with Speed Networking. This is a great opportunity to start the conference by meeting and/or reconnecting with your global industry peers. Bring your business cards! This will be followed by Welcome Reception, hosted by Bloomberg. The reception will be held in the garden and casual attire is suggested. View the entire schedule here
Dietary restriction: When you registered you had the option of requesting a vegetarian option. The wait-staff at the dinners have been alerted and you will need to identify yourself once seated.
