In summer of 2014, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) undertook a rewrite of the federal E-Rate program. The new structure focused the program on increasing broadband capacity and connectivity in our nation's schools and libraries and eliminated services deemed 'outdated,' including web hosting and telephone services. While most SIIA member products are not E-Rate eligible, the shift to broadband will create a greater capacity for online services.
This webinar will highlight how education service providers will benefit from the revamped program and will be held in conjunction with the release of a new 'Guide to the E-rate' produced by Funds for Learning. Guest speakers will include the report's authors.
