First Place Winners Announced for the 2018 SIPAwards Competition

WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 6, 2018) – The Specialized Information Publishers Association (SIPA) has named a record 34 first-place winners in its 39th Annual SIPAwards competition, recognizing excellence among publishers in editorial, marketing and product success. The winners were announced during a luncheon at SIPA’s 42nd Annual Conference at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, June 6.

“We congratulate all of the winners on their exceptional content, successful marketing initiatives and impressive product success,” said Nancy Brand, SIPA’s managing director. “The winning entries truly embodied the spirit of the awards, which is to continue to exceed industry standards and set new benchmarks for performance.”

In addition to the 34 first-place winners, SIPA named 65 runner-ups and honorable mentions. Multiple-category first-place winners include Simplify Compliance, Access Intelligence, Columbia Books & Information Services and Money-Media. The judging was conducted by more than 40 specially chosen industry peers. Subjects of the winners ranged from GDPR and augmented reality to pediatric trauma and hazing prevention to Puerto Rico’s recovery and a famous film editor.
