Connectiv Announces New Incoming Chair of the Connectiv Board of Directors

WASHINGTON (May 8, 2017) –  Connectiv, the Business Information Association, today announced Marion Minor, Owner & CEO EPG Media + Specialty Information, was named Chairman of the Connectiv Board of Directors, succeeding Jim Casella, Chairman and CEO of Compliance Solutions Strategies whose term ended.

Additionally, six new Board members were announced:

  • David Chun, CEO and Founder, Equilar
  • KC Crain, Executive Vice President and Director of Corporate Operation, Crain Communications
  • James Elliott, President, James G. Elliott Co.
  • Saurabh Goorha, Global head of platforms, Cision
  • Patrick Martel, CEO, Business Intelligence, Informa
  • Scott Schulman, CEO, UBM Americas.

Minor assumes the 12-month position as Chairman effective immediately. Minor states her plans are to support “diversity of member companies, platforms and revenue streams that when working together drives boundless opportunity for all,” during her 12-month tenure. She says, “Change in our industry doesn’t start and stop with the shift to digital. We are embracing new ways of serving customers, making money and driving value that redefine what we are. We have new competitors and new potential partners. Connectiv harbors B2B companies at the intersection of information and technology. This association brings together three communities, one with its roots in media and advertising, another in paid content and information services, with the technology universe that makes it happen.”

Mike Marchesano, Managing Director of Connectiv, states, “Our board members provide the business information and content industry with leadership, advocacy and critical market information in the months and years ahead. As representatives of Connectiv member firms, all of the newly elected executives will develop and prioritize Connectiv’s initiatives and determine the projects, activities and events to be undertaken.”

Marchesano continues, “Marion will be a terrific partner as we continue to strengthen the association and move Connectiv to the next level. This month, we are introducing Connectiv University, a professional continuing education program; the Innovation Awards + Festival, a program designed to recognize and award true innovation in the business information sector; and the Connectiv Partner Directory, a 24/7 resource to connect our members with solution providers.
