Connectiv Announces Two Leadership Awards and People’s Choice Connectiv Innovation Awards Winners

Connectiv Innovation Awards focus on innovation and imagination recognizing innovators in six categories, plus two leadership awards

NEW YORK (September 29, 2017) – Connectiv, the Business Information Association, announced winners of a new awards program, the Connectiv Innovation Awards. The program is based on innovative solutions to the biggest problems facing the industry. The 17 Innovation Award winners presented and competed for the People’s Choice Innovation Award on September 28 at the Innovation Awards Festival in New York. The two leadership awards were announced at the Festival: The Disruptive Innovator and The Most Innovative Company. Plus, the People’s Choice Award was announced as the best in show, selected by the audience in a real-time poll.

People’s Choice Award: SourceMedia, Retooling the Business Model

SourceMedia diversified monetization, moving away from a reliance on ad revenue to account based marketing and digital driven products. SourceMedia’s business model has been dramatically transformed, and the company has grown profit margins from low teens to mid-twenties. They steadily converted their clients to account-based marketing and digital-driven products, thereby creating a more consultative with clients allowing a dive deep into data sets to see what resonates with audiences, what gaps need to be filled and how to target using a variety of tools like targeted email and social/native placements.

The Disruptive Innovator: Alex Butler, Vice President and General Manager of Bloomberg Legal Division

Alex Butler is a passionate corporate strategist who has revolutionized the way his team of data scientists, journalists and editors approach the innovation of Bloomberg Law’s Corporate, IP and Privacy product offerings.
