Education Technology Industry Network Appoints Bridget Foster as Senior VP and Managing Director

WASHINGTON (February 13, 2017) –– The Education Technology Industry Network of SIIA announces the appointment of Bridget Foster as the Senior Vice President and Managing Director of ETIN. Foster began her career as a high school science and math teacher and brings seventeen years of industry experience to SIIA.

“I am delighted to welcome Bridget Foster to the SIIA team,” said Ken Wasch, President of SIIA. “Her leadership experience in the ed tech industry will serve current and future ETIN members well.”

Foster’s appointment comes after completion of Chris Lohse’s leadership in developing a new strategic vision for SIIA. Lohse developed a forward-thinking plan that would provide ETIN members with enhanced value during a time of change within the ed tech industry.

“With the help of dozens of market providers and volunteers within the ed tech community, we developed a strategy that preserves and enhances ETIN's unique value proposition to market providers,” said Chris Lohse. “Bridget is the ideal leader at the ideal time for ETIN, and I'm thrilled she's agreed to take on the challenge," Lohse said.

Foster joins ETIN from a successful consulting practice, where she helped companies develop and implement business, product, and marketing strategies. Previously, Foster has held key leadership positions at various education technology companies including Digital Promise, PolyVision, a Steelcase company, and SchoolNet. Throughout her experience in the education industry, Foster has been instrumental to developing global alliances, leading print to digital transformation and managing relationships with state and federal agencies. Foster is best known for her work as the Executive Director of the California Learning Resource Network (CLRN), a service of the California Department of Education, and the development of their software review process in collaboration with the software industry.
