SIIA 2017 Education Business Forum Offers Interactive Strategies for Increased Profitability
Premier educational technology event to take place Dec. 5-6 in Washington, DC
WASHINGTON, DC (Nov. 7, 2017) – The Education Technology Industry Network (ETIN) of SIIA will host its annual Education Business Forum (EBF) on Dec. 5-6 at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC. EBF, the premier event for education business leadership and the investor community, welcomes attendees to engage in interactive sessions, gain insight from peer-reviewed product showcases and participate in one-on-one networking events.
EBF attracts senior management teams of education software companies and platform technology firms, as well as financial analysts, solution providers and distributors, publishers, private equity firms and venture capitalists. This year’s conference boasts a powerful line up of sessions and speakers who will share insight on a range of topics, including new paths to revenue, capital and profit, industry trends, artificial intelligence, AR and VR, new markets, and more.
In addition to interactive panels, roundtables and plenary sessions, EBF attendees will have the opportunity to experience SIIA’s Innovation Showcase, where ten finalists will present their groundbreaking learning technologies to the education market. SIIA's Innovation Showcase is unique in that it is geared toward providing its participants with opportunities to connect with prospective partners for growth. It employs a peer review process to identify the most innovative products, and provides one-on-one mentorship with industry experts to support their growth and success.
The conference will feature four keynote speakers:
- Santeri Koivisto, the former owner of the company that built MinecraftEDU (now owned by Microsoft)
- Phaedra Boinadiris, senior strategy leader for ed tech at IBM
- Stuart Udell, CEO of K12, Inc.
- Peter Cohen, the president of the University of Phoenix.
