Winners Named in the 2015 SIPAwards Competition

Washington, D.C. (June 15,  2015) –  The Specialized Information Publishers Association (SIPA) named 23 first-place winners and 69 winners overall in its annual SIPAwards competition for excellence in editorial and marketing at its 38th Annual Conference in downtown Washington, D.C. on Thursday, June 4.

Many of the winners were on hand at the Capital Hilton to accept their awards. The subjects of the winning editorial awards ranged from the Montreal Metro system to Ebola to the tragic legacy of unpaid mining fines. The latter won the David Swit Investigative Reporting Award for Mine Safety and Health News. The other award named for a person is the Margie Weiner Award for Best Marketing Campaign of the Year. That was won by Access Intelligence’s Event Marketing Summit.

The range of subjects reflects the incredible range of topics covered by SIPA members.  Winning a 2015 SIPAward is an especially impressive achievement given that there were a near-record 207 entries, and the judging was conducted by a specially chosen group of industry peers.
