Data - content and commercials - shifting sands and complex issues for a new decade
The nature and variety of data types is evolving and expanding. This evolution of content is coupled with changing attitudes to the commercials under which data is contracted for. What are the challenges and desires for members who procure and manage such data, and for those who produce it? Contract commercials continue to change, there are robust differences of opinion as to how data should be charged for - depending on whether you are an originating exchange/IDB; or an aggregating vendor; or a financial institution consuming the data . None of this is simple or easy – but that’s why we are all paid the big bucks… aren’t we?
