David Anderson is a well know market data consultant on both sides of the Atlantic. He has worked in the market data industry since 1984 - including roles with Telerate, Bishopsgate Systems and he spent nearly 13 years with Reuters culminating in various global marketing roles; predominantly working on market data systems (e.g. Triarch and RMDS). Since 2002 David has been operating Atradia (www.atradia.com), a management consultancy practice focused on the market data industry. He has been quoted commenting on the market data industry in major publications such as the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the International Herald Tribune, Business Week and many others. David speaks on the subject of market data at conferences and has moderated a wide variety of industry panel sessions. He edited the respected annual ‘IMD Reference’ book between 2003 and 2009 and most recently he has been very closely involved with the new SIIA/FISD initiative to create a professional certification program for market and reference data practitioners. David also acts as a Program Director for a variety of other FISD activities.

Eric Baars has worked for PGGM since 2001 where he currently holds the position on Vendor Manager, responsible for the relationship management and procurement of all market data and applications for the asset management business of PGGM. PGGM is a pension fund service provider and manage the pensions for different pension funds, the affiliated employers and their employees. Currently, PGGM pension assets worth in excess of approximately EUR 167 billion. Eric was a founding member of the Dutch market data peer group (DIPUG) where he currently holds the position of co-chair.

Michael is the Head of Market Development for our Credit Solutions offering across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Michael joined the company in 2005 and has had various sales and sales management roles covering the region, most recently as Head of the Risk Solutions Sales specialty team across EMEA. He also spent some time on the Solutions & Services EMEA team in 2006. Previously Michael held a commercial related role at Swiss life. He holds a MSc in Finance from CASS Business School and a BA in Economics for Business from University of Westminster.

Tom Davin is Managing Director, Financial Information Services Association (FISD) of the SIIA. FISD is the global, neutral forum for the financial information industry with a diverse membership that includes major market data vendors, exchanges, technology providers, and the financial institutions that utilize financial data products. Tom works closely with FISD members to identify major issues and seek opportunities to bring the financial information industry together to discuss and resolve those issues. FISD conducts regular membership events in North America, Europe, Asia, Brazil, and Australia and hosts the biennial World Financial Information Conference – the premiere global industry conference for financial information professionals.

Tristan Dehaan is the Global Lead Vendor Manager for market data at Aegon Asset Management which is part of the global insurance firm Aegon. Based in The Netherlands, but London born, Tristan is responsible for major tier 1 & 2 vendor relationships with primary roles as internal consultant to the business, external relationship manager to the vendors and as the lead Data Compliance Officer overseeing audits and data compliance programs. Prior to joining Aegon, Tristan spent 17 years at another Dutch based Asset Manager, namely Robeco, in a similar role and in total has spent more than 25 years in the Banking And Asset Management industry.
From a market perspective and to bring knowledge and creativity inside Aegon A.M., Tristan takes active involvement with various industry groups including FISD and market data peer groups such as DIPUG (the Dutch based consumer group similar to London based IPUG and Paris based Cossiom).
Tristan’s legacy dream would be to establish contract standards and plain language to bring harmony to the complex world of data audits.

Hubert  Deroubaix

Hubert Deroubaix is Business Manager, EMEA Pricing and Reference Data. He is responsible for developing and commercialising Interactive Data’s regulatory content offerings in EMEA. Prior to this Hubert’s roles have included managing both content management and strategic partnerships within Data Collection. Hubert joined the company in 2000 from the former Thomson Financial. Prior to that, he undertook a number of management roles within Deutsche Bank’s global custody operations in London. Hubert’s work with both providers and users of financial information has given him a wide understanding of the financial markets and their participants. Hubert has a degree in modern languages from Lille University.

Stephan Flagel

Stephan joined Thomson Reuters in August 2013 and is the Global Head of Indices. Previously, he headed the global index business at Markit and was the Chief Operating Officer of global research at Barclays Capital. He was a financial services strategy consultant at Cap Gemini and started his career at Dresdner Bank financing Latin American financial institutions and corporates. Stephan holds a B.A. in economics from George Mason University (VA/USA) and an MBA from the London Business School.

Chris joined HSBC Securities Services in August 2006 and is the Head of Product Management, Market Data Services. Chris was previously at Threadneedle Investments where he was Head of Investment Information Services. Before then he was a Director at UBS managing the business content aspects of their data management programme. Chris started work in the city with Laurie, Milbank stockbrokers, in their futures and options operations team, continuing with Chase Manhattan for a further ten years, culminating in three years as head of the equity derivatives middle office. He was also manager of OTC derivative client valuations at Bankers Trust. Chris is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment

As Regional Director, Nico Langedijk oversees the licensing sales, client relationship management and distribution of the existing indices of STOXX Ltd. for Scandinavia and the Netherlands. Prior to joining STOXX Ltd., he spent almost 10 years working at investment banks like Barclays Capital and Goldman Sachs. Most recently Nico worked at the investment solutions team of the Securities Division of BNP Paribas covering Dutch pension funds, insurance companies and asset managers. Nico Langedijk holds a Master’s degree in Econometrics, Economics and Finance from the University of Amsterdam and is a CFA Charterholder since 2005.

Hermen Molendijk

Hermen Molendijk is Head of Business Development & Operations at Morningstar Benelux. As such, Hermen is responsible for the delivery of Morningstar data and tooling in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. He started his career as an economist at the OECD in Paris and the former NMB Bank in Amsterdam, followed by a number years working as a financial services consultant at PwC. Over the past 20 years Hermen has been active in various senior management positions in asset management and private banking, including at Robeco and ING Bank.

 

Fran Reed

Experienced capital markets investment professional with extensive fixed income trading, structuring and sales expertise at top-tier investment banks like Morgan Stanley, UBS, Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital. Presently, Fran manages fixed income and regulatory strategy at FactSet Research Systems. Fran is a frequent speaker and industry expert on topics including financial regulatory reform, housing reform and public policy matters. Over his career, Fran has managed institutional trading and client coverage for some of the world’s largest most complex investors like the U.S. Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs), European Supra, Sovereign and Agencies (SSAs), central banks, commercial banks, hedge funds, insurance companies and asset managers. Fran managed the investment bank resolution “living will” strategy plan for Morgan Stanley’s Title I submission to the Federal Reserve Bank. Prior to this, Fran was Managing Director - Head of Structured Products, Americas at UBS Investment Bank. He was senior relationship manager to the U.S. GSEs – Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Federal Home Loan Banks and Federal Farm Credit Banks and European SSAs at both UBS and Lehman Brothers, where he transitioned his team through Lehman’s landmark bankruptcy in 2008 – the largest bankruptcy in U.S. history – over to Barclays Capital. Prior to Lehman Brothers, Fran managed Barclays Capital’s U.S. Agency business in the 1990s, where he advised Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac develop their global Benchmark and Reference Note debt programs. Education includes an MBA – finance, Fordham University and a Bachelor of Science – Marketing, Fairfield University. FINRA Registered Series 7, 63 and 24 Registered Financial Supervisor.
Fran lives with his wife and children in New Canaan, CT – where he enjoys rowing, playing tennis, platform tennis and running with his family in his spare time. He is Board Member of ClearPharma, a bio-tech firm and a Founding Board Member of The Children's Fund for GSD Research, a 501c3 non-profit charitable organization committed to finding a cure for GSD, a rare genetic condition afflicting their daughter: www.CureGSD.org

Michael Salk, Moody's Analytics Managing Director - Content Distribution, joined Moody's in 2007 and has extensive information industry experience developing and marketing financial products. At Moody's Mike's team is responsible fro product and strategic management for a global portfolio of data and research services. Prior to Moody's, he oversaw financial news and market data products at the Associated Press. Mike has also worked for Reuters, within the Media and Investment Banking & Brokerage segments, and oversaw product strategy for editorial at Bridge Information Systems (acquired by Reuters). Throughout his career, Mike has partnered with external firms to develop new services taking advantage of emerging technologies. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.

Mr. van Bronswijk is Senior Supervision Officer within the Autoriteit Financiële Markten. As a data analyst he is responsible for the quality and analysis of all incoming feeds (orders/transactions/reference data) the AFM receives for the detection and analysis of market abuse. Mr. van Bronswijk is member of the ESMA IT Management and Governance and ESMA Market Data Reporting working groups. Within the latter he is chairman of the Instrument Reference data subgroup, which writes the proposal for the MiFIR and MAR technical standards on the collection of instrument reference data. Before joining the AFM he worked as a consultant within Logica (prior CMG).

Maurice van Tilburg is CEO of Euronext Amsterdam and member of the Managing Board of Euronext since February 2015. Until this appointment, he was Head of Business Projects & Design of the European Equity and Equity Derivatives Markets at Euronext, where he was responsible for the process reform of business initiatives and project delivery of new products and services. Prior to that Mr. Van Tilburg was in charge of issuer support and execution of corporate actions across all Euronext Cash Markets in Europe. Mr. Van Tilburg started his career in the exchange sector in 1995 at the EOE Options Exchange in Amsterdam and then moved to Euroclear Netherlands where he was responsible for the operational delivery of all settlement and custody services for the Dutch market. Maurice van Tilburg holds an engineering degree and a post graduate audit degree from the VU University Amsterdam.

John Visti Madsen has 13+ years’ experience from the financial information industry, both from data vendors and consuming firms. He started his career as a data analyst with SIX Telekurs in 2002. From 2007-2012 he’s been heading up market data and data management teams as well as providing interim consultancy services at Saxo Bank and HSBC. Relocating to the Netherlands in 2012 he joined TKP Investments (Aegon Asset Management) where he currently holds the position on Vendor Manager, looking after his firms vendor relations, contracts and sourcing activities relating to Market Data, IT and Outsourced Services. John is co-chair of the Dutch Information Provider User Group (DIPUG) and member of FISD’s FIA curriculum committee.
