SIIA Joins Multi-Association Letter Urging Clear DOJ Guidance on Data Security Rules

The letter underscores the need for clear and practical compliance guidance, urging the DOJ to provide a 60-day public comment period for proposed FAQs and implementation materials. It also calls for a phased regulatory rollout, aligning deadlines to ensure businesses have sufficient time to comply with recordkeeping, due diligence, and reporting requirements. The coalition supports a non-enforcement period through December 31, 2026, to facilitate a smooth transition while maintaining national security protections.
