Vlad currently leads the AI Research team at FiscalNote, focusing on using machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) to create practical applications for analyzing, modeling, and extracting knowledge from the growing amount of mostly unstructured data related to government, policy and law. He created the first version of the company’s patented technology to help organizations understand and act on policy changes. He has more than a decade of experience developing state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms for a broad range of NLP applications including entity extraction, structured prediction, machine translation, text classification, and information retrieval. His work has led to 10 patent applications, he has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in and serves on the program committees for top-tier conferences, such as ACL, NAACL, and EMNLP, and has been covered by media such as Wired, Vice News, and Washington Post. His research awards include the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship, and he has conducted research in academia (Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University, University of Maryland), industry (Raytheon, BBN Technologies, JHU Applied Physics Laboratory), and government. Vlad completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science with Philip Resnik at the University of Maryland, and his B.S. in Computer Science and Philosophy at Columbia University.

Vladimir Petkov

Vladimir joined A Data Pro as CTO in 2011, bringing on board over a decade’s experience in digital media and business development, gained at Economedia, Bulgaria’s top news publisher. Under his leadership, the company has transformed into a fully integrated human-technology ecosystem, both in terms of service line-up and infrastructure. He also serves as CEO of A Data Pro’s artificial intelligence research and development hub, Identrics. Beyond his work at A Data Pro, Vladimir is also a vocal advocate for digitalisation and the adoption of new technologies by businesses in Bulgaria. He currently presents à popular podcast on media and technologies, and has served on the boards of the Bulgarian Web Association and the local branch of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB). He also lectures on online business and digital media-related topics at Sofia University and New Bulgarian University.

Clive Riddle

President and CEO, MCOL

Mr. Riddle is President of MCOL, a leading publisher of health care business information founded in 1995. He has overseen the company's growth from its original on-line membership service to now have an e-reach to over 180,000 and include acquired and organically developed divisions and services including webinars, print and electronic newsletters, directories and databases, sponsored content solutions, e-learning, specialized websites and more. A 30+ year veteran of the health care and managed care industry, Riddle has held a variety of high-level leadership positions including 12 years as Chief Executive Officer of a regional hospital owned managed care organization in California. There he was responsible for developing and overseeing HMO, PPO, insurance, clinic and pharmacy operations, where they developed into a $100 million-a-year business. Prior to that, Mr. Riddle held positions of increasing responsibility for the same hospital system, at both the facility and regional level, where he was charged with the implementation of numerous new programs, facilities and services. Riddle is often quoted in national health care industry media on managed care and health care business related issues, and has been a frequent speaker at national conferences. Riddle has written three novels: Dorris Bridge (2010), The Burning Z (2013), and The Z Tailgate (2016.) Throughout his career, Mr. Riddle has been an active participant on numerous community and professional boards of directors. He is a native of California, and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, and Master of Public Administration degree at California State University, Stanislaus.

Rob Ristagno

Julian Rose

Julian co-founded Chemical Watch in 2007 which has grown from two people initially to more than 50 staff today, becoming the world leading information service on product safety and chemicals risk management. He is also co-founder of Environment Analyst, an environmental business information service. He has a background in journalism, product development and business leadership.

Constance Sayers

President, Government Executive Media Group

Ms. Constance Sayers serves as President of Government Executive Media Group of Atlantic Media Company. Ms. Sayers served as Director of Events & Advertising Marketing of CQ - Roll Call, Inc. since November 2008. Ms. Sayers managed the marketing efforts for the advertising department, as well as assume responsibility for CQ Events, which were policy-focused events. She led the events division for National Journal, oversaw its convention business, and was on special assignment with The Atlantic for "The Public Dialogue Tour." She served as Managing Director of Events for Government Executive, producing events including the "Excellence in Government" conference, the "Service to America Medals," and the "Leadership Breakfast Series." Ms. Sayers holds a master's degree in English/writing communications from George Mason University and bachelor's degree in English/writing communications from the University of Pittsburgh.

Jim Sinkinson

Jim Sinkinson founded Infocom Group in 1980 and sold it in 2015. The company produced online information services, newsletters, webinars, books, special reports and live professional development conferences for the corporate communications market. Sinkinson has won numerous awards for his work with publishers, including two Gold Awards from Newsletter on Newsletters, editorial awards from SIPA, and an Axel award for a personalized marketing package he created for Tom Peters’ On Achieving Excellence. In 2015, Sinkinson received a Gold Award from SIPA for his launch of a conference series. Sinkinson served as president of the Northern California chapter of the Specialized Information Publishers Association (SIPA) for 25 years, served on the SIPA board of directors for 12 years, and served as SIPA president in 1993-94. In June, 2001, Jim Sinkinson was named to the SIPA Hall of Fame. He has spoken on specialized information marketing and content at dozens of SIPA events and today, as a publishing consultant, continues to assist publishers worldwide. He offers expertise in copywriting, online marketing, editorial content, memberships, renewals and website development.

Bill recently left Diversified Communications after a 21-year career of increasing responsibilities. Bill was, at various times, publisher of SeaFood Business, the trade magazine for the seafood industry, Vice President responsible for the IT organization, and Vice President of the Business Communities Group (BCOM). As Vice President of BCOM, Bill was responsible for the Institute of Finance and Management, which included two events, a membership organization, and a comprehensive certification program. APC, the largest conference for administrative professionals, and Accountex, a conference about accounting technology, were also within Bill’s sphere of responsibility. For the past four years, Bill was an Executive Vice President, with additional responsibility for Diversified’s content marketing, data management, market research, accounting and finance groups. Kevin Turpin II

Kevin Turpin II is the president of National Journal. As the former senior vice president of National Journal, Turpin led the product development, strategy research, digital, and marketing teams. In this role, he oversaw product research, evaluated potential partnerships, and established operational infrastructure for the new product pipeline. For more than a decade working at National Journal, Turpin has produced successful proposals to increase profit margins, identified efficiencies in vendor relationships, and created new revenue lines for the organization. Turpin also built a strategic advisory group of 60 government affairs executives from Fortune 100 corporations and influential trade associations; resulting in the launch of National Journal’s Leadership Council. He is also responsible for the launch of Policy Brands Roundtable and the Network Science Initiative. He began his career gaining deep insights into the Washington media market and the needs of public policy professionals while serving in roles ranging from sales to manager of signature National Journal products such as The Hotline. He joined OPIS in 2016 after 10+ years at SNL Financial (now S&P Global Market Intelligence) where he directed the company’s marketing in the energy sector, as well as in banking, insurance, real estate, media & communications and metals & mining. Rick holds a B.A. in English from Columbia University.
