Charity Huff

CEO and Founder, January Spring

Disruption, with a kind touch, is one way to describe Charity’s career. Since graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Communications from The Edward R. Murrow School at Washington State University and earning her MBA at Regis University, she has immersed herself in practicing, implementing and innovating the digital media world. For nearly 30 years, she has worked for and founded companies that have pioneered digital-first strategies and tactics. She participates on boards, guiding their growth and market expansion as well as advocates for women’s leadership and provides meaningful support to causes in her community. Charity brings all of this, along with her deep love for Colorado, to the next step in her career – becoming CEO and publisher of 5280 Elevated, Inc., which acquired 5280 magazine in 2024. As the second person to lead the 5280 brand, Charity is blending her succinct talent for digital transformation with her heartfelt affection for Denver. Having co-founded three digital media companies since 2007 (January Spring and Maroon Ventures, where she continues to be an active leader; and Tru Measure, which sold to McClatchy in 2013), she has watched and participated in the evolution of go-to-market strategies that deliver results through revenue and market influence.

Charity currently serves on the board of directors for Questor Corp, EnVision and Recruiting Innovation. She has previously served on the boards of Swift Communications, Inc., Women’s Leadership Foundation, and Family to Family Support Network. When not enjoying time with her family and mini dachshund at home in Colorado, Charity indulges in her love of travel
