Claudio Maes is an economist (UERJ), holds a master’s degree in public administration (Columbia University) and is a specialist in capital market regulation (UFRJ). He has technical training in derivatives markets (BM&F), real estate financing (Wharton School) and fixed income (New York Institute of Finance), in prudential financial regulation (UK FSA), in capital market development (US SEC) and in international financial regulation – Program on International Financial Systems (Harvard Law School). Claudio has taught in postgraduate courses at IBMEC, USP and ENAP, and has had two articles and two short essays published in Jornal do Brasil. He has worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission since 2002, having led teams in the areas of public offering registration, investment fund supervision, financial education and, since 2018, market development. He has participated in countless working groups, seminars and training sessions, in the audience, on the panel and on stage, in Brazil and abroad. Claudio is currently a member of the advisory group of the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges and the LAB – Laboratory of Financial Innovations.
