Manager, Market Data & Access Services, IEX

Cole Malatesta is an experienced operations and strategy leader with expertise in equities market data, market structure, and exchange operations. He currently leads the Market Data and Access Services team at IEX, overseeing the development and execution of market data strategy, operations, and distributor relationships for one of the most innovative equity exchanges in the U.S.

Over the past five years at IEX, Cole has also held roles on the Business Operations team, where he supported the company’s analytics, business development, and executive functions through ad-hoc research and strategy initiatives.

Cole began his career at Bain Capital in Boston as a member of the Core Compliance team, supporting the firm’s capital markets business and trading desks.

He holds dual degrees in Finance and Marketing from Boston College’s Carroll School of Management. Originally from Boxford, Massachusetts, Cole is a proud alumnus of St. John’s Preparatory School in Danvers.

Outside of work, Cole enjoys spending time outdoors—either snowboarding up north or relaxing on the beach in Rhode Island.
